Puempel for Hjalmarsson is fair value. If the Hawks can grab a solid F.A. to fill the blueline.

My reply in question was not in reference to the OP.

No, I don't think I am. To read extra into words on a screen is assumptive at best, and wrong at worst.

As for the guys listed, no, we're not offering them up. We'll be happy to take guys like Toews, Seabrook and Keith off your hands though.

What? My reply was in reference to the OP and then you replied to me. The point of this thread is to get Hammer to Ottawa. My reply was that the only player I'd want from the Sens in return is Lehner, you replied to it and took the post to be more than it was.

I would prefer to trade Noeson instead of Puempel.

our LW prospects are;
Puemple
Filatov
Petersson

RW:
Silfverberg
Stone
Noeson

If we trade Puemple that leaves us with Filatov and Petersson.
Filatov is likely to not come back sadly.

If we traded Noeson that still leaves us with Silfverberg and Stone.

just my thoughts on the subject.

Foligno and Greening are LW's and Michalek can fill that spot as well, so I wouldn't be too worried about it, although it is an interesting point to bring up.

The hawks are plentiful in winger prospects. Again, we need a 2C, starting goalie, or cap space to sign Suter

Noesen is gonna be a stud. I'd give up Puempel 1000 times before Noesen.

Yup!!! Other poster brings up an interesting point about RW/LW balance - but while Puempel had a slow, injury filled year, Noesen was tearing it up!

Agreed, would much rather trade Puempel than Noesen. I would think management agree as well taking him before Puempel.

I've wanted Hammer on the Sens for the past 2 years, a Hjalmarsson-Karlsson pairing would be quite intriguing....that said, I'm just not sure there is a deal to be made between Chitown and Otown that would make sense for both sides..

We could definentely help you guys out cap space wise. We have a ton and aren't landing Parise or Suter. Do you have any overpaid guys or reclamation project prospects?

Montador and thats about it. Frolik maybe as well but the Hawks wouldnt be smart to deal him now.

I know this is near-impossible, but doesn't Mika Zibanejad play C? is there (by some chance) a log jam in c that would allow him to be moved (for a much bigger package than Hammer) to chicago? something like Hjalmarsson, Pirri/McNeil, 1st? Or would Spezza be moved before he became available? I know he is probably not available at all i'm just curious because thats a more glaring hole than the hawks wings.

I personally wouldnt move Zibanejad unless he was part of a package that sees Sharp, Hossa, or Kane was coming back the other way.

Noesen is listed as a RW because he is a right shot, but plays on the left. He has played all positions in all situations for Plymouth. He can be a very valuable, flexible asset moving forward

We really don't need winger prospects. Centermen, defensemen or goaltending would have to come back.

The only one of those i'd move is sharp. I've been throwing him around in alot of proposals for J.Staal, if anyone is moved to get a legit #2 C this year I think it would be him. would be a good starting point, with both sides adding some small pieces to balance out.

I'd give Zibanejad for Seabrook as well. Wouldn't for Hossa, though.

I'd do it a Sens fan.

Don't think it's enough to get it done, but maybe Stan Bowman is as bad as some Hawk fans make him out to be.
