Stanley Cup Finals All Purpose Thread - #6 Devils vs. #8 Kings

Series discussion? Series discussion.

Also, I typed that title really slow. I still can't believe it.

We are underdogs again. We can do this. Lets go Devils. If we can solve Lundy, we can definitely take it to Quick.

I think you guys match up well against the Kings. I'd expect it to be a tough, hard-fought series, but I think the Devils have a great shot to win. The Kings hype has gotten a bit out of control IMO.

Lowest seed to ever win the cup will be this year. Will also be the second American captain to win

I still can't believe we're in the Cup Final. This is amazing, go out there and take it Devils!

Bruins fan here to wish Marty and the Devils good luck in the Finals. The 8th seeded Kings, which have never won the Cup, is a big story, but Brodeur is a bigger story, and the Devils are a true elite hockey organization, it can't be denied.

Win another one, Marty Brodeur.

The Kings defense is easily the best defense this team will be facing.

I'm expecting it to be a tough, hard-fought series. No walk in the park.

Damn, there's a school trip to Six Flags on the 9th and 10th, and game 5 is on the 9th. Tough call for me...

Before things get out of hand between our fanbases, I just wanted to swing by and congratulate you guys and the Eastern Conference Champion New Jersey Devils. Here's to a hard fought finals with as little crappy refereeing as possible. Good luck guys.

Hard fought 3 rounds. Definitely gutsy by this team if no other words. Have to relish in the good stuff right now though.

Certainly not satisfied yet, but unambiguously proud that they were able to do what they did considering where they were just a year ago. Everything since a month ago has been gravy. Time to keep the ball rolling and see if history books have NJD written in it.

I'm cautiously optimistic that we can beat the Kings. We're going to need that murderous forecheck rolling at full steam, Quick is just as difficult to break as Lundqvist.

Kovalchuk" We're in the finals for a reason. (LA was) really good on the road the whole playoffs but I don't think they faced a team like us

We definitely need to play better than we did in Games 5 and 6.

As long as they don't get a 2 goal lead in the first period they will be fine
