It's not even so much that...this postseason has been one stress attack after another. OMGZ, we need to end this first-round hex to OMGZ, we're playing the Flyers to OMFGZ, we're playing the Rangers! Each series had an insane urgency for different reasons. Now that we're through the other side of the tunnel though, it's exactly as you said. It's a 'wow, we're in the Finals?!' feeling. Instead of stress, now I have excitement. Instead of a dread about losing, I'm thinking about how we can win.
I knew our path to possibly winning was through a division winner and our rivals. The reason why I said that I wanted 6 seed so we play a gassed f'ers team after that dogfight and wanted the rags in ECF with their two 7 game series and multiple OT.
Now I will Take a 12-2 team, because this team historically has answered the bell. Anaheim was scarier prospect than LA is now. LA only has 1 sweep; Anaheim had 2. Not to mention their hot goalie...jiggy ended with a 1.62GAA and Marty 1.65.
Chere can go **** himself with his kings prediction.

So I'm in a position where I can't really call off of work. My two options right now seem to be 1. quit or 2. miss at least games 1-3. This sucks so much, but they do have a damn good record when I'm at work so maybe it won't be all bad...
Don't forget boys and girls, watch for illegal curves on LA's sticks. Marty McSorley sorely lost in 93 trying to gain that advantage.
We must have a stick measured if it looks questionable. The stick was the turning point against Montreal and demers shoved it up mcsorley's ass when he pulled Roy and overtime was forced.
To this day, it stands as the only stick measurement I remember being done in the finals.

You don't want to play this game. Kovys stick is 100% illegal, and I'm sure many others are on both sides. It's kind of a taboo thing to call for IMO.

What? The rules on the curve of the stick was relaxed in the last few years. I really don't think Kovy's sticks are illegal - and certainly not the ones I've seen. The ones I've gotten a hold of for various purposes (including game used) haven't been modified from the factory, and you can be damn well sure that an NHL approved manufacturer isn't going to risk losing their approval on an illegal stick for one player.
And why would what the Kings did nearly 2 decades ago have ANY bearing on what the team is doing now?

not sure if serious...
Stick curve limit was raised from 1/2" to 3/4" years ago. You would have to see a straight up banana curve to exceed that.
