Get him to doze off, then shoot from center ice.

He's going down too early and overreacting. It's going to catch up to him eventually.

Does anyone else think that Emrick sounds like the Aflac duck?

Line 4 is really good at moving the puck into the offensive zone.

I'm watching the game on Premier Sports. The announcers are much, much better.

This. Worst in the NHL at it. Bring in Turco next year as a goalie coach to teach him how the **** to handle a puck.

Justin Williams just made a fantastic break out pass. I will now wait for the macros to fire saying how bad he is since his name was mentioned

Right where they need to be. Not their best, but have the lead.

Textbook first period by the Kings.
Not too much offense from the Devils yet. They'll get better, but we can get better too.
Go Kings!!!!!

As good a period as I could hope for. Kings with the lead. Devils have been strong in the first all post season. Keeping them scoreless bodes well

Unfortunately the Devils are used to being down. Kings need to speed up their game and be more careful leaving their zone. NJ forechecks with all 3 forwards.

The Devils forecheck is doing a good job of keeping the Kings from developing some pressure on Brodeur. This series will be much tighter than St. Louis or Phoenix.
I hope Quick keeps playing lights out. I sense a lot of 2-1 type games.
Go Kings Go!!!

Kings really have to settle down in the 2nd. It is obvious they aren't used to a fore check like the Devils have and the fumbling of the puck in the D zone is gonna cost them.

Does Richardson know what he's doing out there? The guy looks lost.

Not a great period but I'll take it given the layoff and Cup jitters. Defense needs to keep track of the slot man though, they keep losing him.
Thankful to Marty for spotting LA a goal. Cheers!

Can't really make any judgements based on that first period. Neither team has settled in yet. Williams finally looks like he's playing better though.

Solid opening period for the Finals with a bonus lead. They'll work out the jitters.
