Olden is an import OA, are there any teams that have a spot for him?
Mississauga and Oshawa have open spots

Anyone got a logjam of veteran D-men? The Bulls could use a shutdown type to shore up the top 4. Perfect fit would be a crease-clearing righty with a mean streak. OA's are fine because the Bulls still have two open slots. Willing to trade straight up for a puck-moving type such as Worrad, Silas or Bignell, or also for picks.

Kitchener has a few d-men that are expendable on account of there being so many of them. They include Jesse Young, Stephan Midensky, Jared Gilbert and Cory Genovese. The two with the most value and potential obviously being the 94 Genovese and 95 Gilbert. Gilbert is a puck moving d, Genovese is turning into a good stay at home defender with a mean streak. Would hate to see either go, but an upgrade on the front end must be made, and potentially an o/a on Defense

Kitchener also has Goalie Franky Palazzese and perhaps Brent Pedersen to trade aswell.

They would want a top 6 forward and an o/a d-man for a package, or one of the two for something.

Shaw and Silas would be welcome additions to the Rangers back end. Who is better defensively? Also Gaunce and Brassard would look good in Ranger Blue and Red. (Obviously not all of them)

Belleville's OA slots are filled unless there is a big change, J. Cramarosa, Silas and Shaw are all OA's. The only thing other then a trade that would change that is if the NHL sesaon opens and Cramarosa gets sent to the AHL.

At the mid-way point, should the NHL announce a full season lockout, what could the Ice Dogs get for D. Hamilton and Strome?

Sure, with these players, they have a CHANCE to win the East (still would not be favourites in my book), but I don't think they'd have the depth to come close to the winner of the West.

When we traded Pietrangelo we got Strome, Grondvalt and a handful of draft picks. Could we get similar deals for these players to build for the next 2 years? (2012 1st round player with high potential, depth vet and draft picks?)

Teams can carry 4 OA's to start the year, so Belleville has one slot open or two if they're dealing Silas.

or Windsor...no wait....they have nothing to deal(picks)...or in the bank...carry on.

I knew someone would be quick to see the humour in my proposal. The OP didn't speculate on who was or wasn't untouchable.

It seems J.P. Labardo is now an Erie Otter, not sure what the return to Oshawa was.

What does it matter that he is American or not? Is being a Cocky American less notable then being a Cocky Czech, a Cocky Canadian, Cocky German? I'm not following....

Also, if you are going to throw dirt on a team because their last Mem Cup win was 2005, at least expect that no one around the OHL will consider your back to back mem cups as worth anymore then a grain of salt now that we know you paid players to come.....

It's also quite remarkable as stated that the Spits fan base quadrupled in size as soon as they were good.

And you're right, they probably would have won with or without the few American's that were on the team. But how are we to know?

And you're making quite the assumption that the players paid off were Americans. Who's to say it wasnt Taylor Hall or Ryan Ellis?

Should really help guarantee us that playoff birth, which is important for the young team. If the lockout lasts all year and they keep him and Strome, with the rise of DiFruscia and Verhaeghe, they can compete again if they can make a deal for a tender.

If lockout continues the full year, Niagara will contend for top 3, If Festarini has a good season they could even pull off the top team in the East. The East will be very tight this year.
