Haha maybe! Dissapointed if he is infact correct... Kid is a stud and has yet to be able to fully show his stuff due to numerous injuries. I'm sure he will go to Kitchener or Windsor for like..... A Chase Hatcher type!

Also I guess the Findlay trade ruins the Campagna to Petes rumour

Brampton needs guys who can bring some offense to the table.

I don't think it would take much. Let's face the facts you aint getting a 20 goal guys for Abraham or Auld. I would say a draft pick. They are good players that bring veteran pressence and deserve more of an opportunity that they won't get in brampton.

Auld would bring three things we need, size, experience and a right shot.

Make it happen Mike Kelly!

Unfortunatly it is rumoured that Auld is not playing in the CHL next year and has elected to go to university and play CIS

Is anyone other than myself alittle shocked that there aren't more trades made by now? Thought some teams would be settling there OA's as soon as possible.

Not at all. With a lockout looming in the NHL there's the chance OHL teams are holding on to their chips until they know what will happen. I only figured there would be a handful of trades when the window opened up.

Ya true, but i thought the players that were asking for trades would have found homes as soon as possible. I guess there will be more trickling in till the import draft.

If London ever accepted that trade I would lose so much respect for hunter. Trading a player whose going in the first 3 rounds in this months NHL draft for a guy whose probably had more fights in his career then shots on goal is dumb.I'm a Mathers fan and pumped to watch him but not because of his hockey skill only cause of his fighting skills.AA will pot 30+ goals nxt year while Mathers will have 5 tops

Once a NHL team tells a player he is going back to the CHL they must stay in the CHL unless they get called up for a 1 game emeregency much like Kadri did a few years ago for the Leafs. if there is a lock out my guess is that majority of the players who get drafted or already drafted/Signed will be sent back unless they are AHL eligable

We have too many checking type forwards Corson,Simmonds,Hooey and Curtis. One or two must go Corson and Simmonds IMO
Silas and Brassard are not going anywhere and that's basically 99% accurate. On the other hand Curtis and Corson will be and are both guys I like but the decision has to be right for them and George has a reputation of being a fair and straight shooter so unless it'll hurt the club in the way of lowball offers then those boys will move on to a new future.

I would agree that AA's speed would be better utilized on the bigger ice surface provided you don't give up too much for him.

Matt Puempel is supposidly on the trade market. Would be rather exspensive. Probably cost a 95 and picks.

Yeah that would be a bit expensive but I guess if a team is going for it or wanting to get more experienced then it could be a good move.

I'd love to see him in Barrie, but can't see the Petes getting a rostered 95 from us.

The trade of Francis Menard from the Storm to the Petes for picks is official.

With the Petes bringing in the OA's, I can't see them trading Puempel for anything other than an equal "now" talent unless they trade him for a boatload of picks and then turn around and trade those picks for a "now" player. It seems they're planning to compete this season and you don't do that by trading him for a 95 and picks that you plan to keep.

Indeed. If he is dealt it will be for a "now" player, no questions about it. As of right now however, it's being said that Dave Reid will not trade Matt Puempel. Only time will tell on this one. I can guarantee Matt asked to be traded, whether or not it happens is one thing, it could very well be worked out and Matt stays in Peterborough and nothing over comes from this.
