You don't like our gongshow in Sarnia? Who the hell knows. Its just one joke after another. I am hearing the lad wanted out and can't blame him. He is one class act and will probably bite our ass in the future. But OS is saying we also got a 2nd (cond) for him too.

...and a 2nd rd conditional pick of London is included to the Sting.

Seems weird to send a guy like Hope to Owen Sound where he'll just sit all year long behind Binnington. That can't help his development.

Owensound does let goalies play. Maybe they found out Anderson is comming back for his OA year and figured he had a better chance playing behind Binnington then Anderson. Binnington got time 22 games as a rookie with Stajcer as the Starter

My appologies Petes fan, he has been traded.

To me this has to mean Curcuruto is on his way out. The top 4 right now is Sproul, Miller, Nurse and Gudbranson with Spinozzi, Mintz, Turner, Clutsam, Fuller all battling for the bottom 2 or 3 spots.

Doubtful Curcuruto comes back for his post-draft year playing bottom pairing minutes. I think it's probably time he gets a fresh start somewhere else.

Gudbranson deal now confirmed by the Hounds.

And a side note that they traded the rights to Brett D’Andrea to the Windsor Spitfires in exchange for Windsor’s 4th Round pick in the 2014 OHL Priority Selection.

Wow alittle shocked that the fronts would trade Gudbransonsomething went on there? IMO most shocking deal thus far.

Tyler Ganly should crack the line up for Soo unless he's traded. Really improved all aspects of his game during the midget season. Big, strong and physical defensemen.

Doesn't mean he actually asked for a trade.

Would he not have had a no trade clause?

most first round picks get NTC now witch i think is stupid and players in the OHL should not get a NTC unless they get granted ES by Hockey Canada

He didnt, and I still think that speculating about 17 year old kids in an open forum is a bit questionable, but he was traded, so ce la vie.

Why?

Most of these kids are in school. Imagine getting traded the night before a major exam and you have to miss it because of reporting to the new team.

Alot of the time fans forget these are kids, who have to billet. They should have control over where they play and who they live with.

Imagine that your a parent of a kid, who was just traded and moves in with a stranger? The parents/kids deserve some control over their situation.

Just the picks needed to make the Clint Windsor to Kingston deal I mentioned earlier happen.

Windsor is a '93

But yes 16 yr olds can be traded IF they are first round picks and only then before the season as a disqualified player and only for picks or come the January window before the deadline. Players drafted in the second round or later can't be traded for a year.

Absolutely... It's bad enough that the kids already go to two schools during the season. A third is a bit much. A lot of fans seem to forget that many of these kids never play any professional hockey. They need to be able to get through high school (at least) along the way...

I believe Arsenault was refering to the Povo part of the deal. He was a rookie this past season. Really it could be Povo or any other forward on the trading block for Saginaw. The main idea would be that Saginaw gives up Windsor, a forward and our import pick for Beranak and picks.

OK, I'll be the one to ask: Why did Gudbranson go to the Sault on the cheap? It looks like teams have paid more for overagers than the Hounds paid for Gudbranson, it seems a little weird. Even if the rumors of asking for a trade are true, he reported to the hounds so it's not like he was picking his landing spot to explain the price. I refuse to believe that Dubas is capable of winning a deal, so my gut tells me Gudbranson must not be as good as I thought.

I would think the Gudbranson trade was the first of many for the Fronts. as they need to make room for 3 forwards (Watson,Bennett,Doggett)and 2 defence (Mckeown,DiPerna)from this years draft and they still need a goalie.

And there is Fitzmorris their 2nd rounder from last year who got hurt and possibly Beckstead who was the last cut from last year. Both are forwards.

Depending on what happens at the import draft, look for the bulls to deal Chartrand in or around that time! Who other than Windsor is looking at goalies?
