Send a message via AIM to y2kcanucks
Drop Edler and Hjalmarsson and I do it. Would even include a pick from the Canucks side if needed.

On second thought, the Canucks probably have to add a bit still. Maybe a pick or two

LOL. If hawks ever did a trade with the canucks it'd be the end of the world.

Hell to the no.

Of course you would. It would be Schneider and Raymond for Kane, which is horribly lopsided in the Canucks favour. Edler is the most valuable piece from the Canucks side in the original proposal.

People also need to stop putting Raymond's rights in trade proposals. He won't be qualified and will become a UFA. He has no value.

What are you... The Canucks would have to at LEAST add Kesler and the Sedins for Chicago to consider this... and yeah, like you said, 2 first round picks

But still, raymond and schnieder have negative value because they're unproven.

shinder
elder
rasmus
1rst
1rst
sedins
Kesselr

for

I can't really see these two teams trading roster players at this time unless its last ditch effort. Only way I see them doing any kind of business is trading picks or prospects like Beach for example.

Why trade with Chicago. Van may as well call up Columbus and offer Schneider to them. Who knows it could be Schneider + 1st for Nash.

If you honestly did catch the sarcasm maybe you shouldn't post on the main page and take this crap proposal back to the Hawks main page. Or whoever you're a fan of.

Vancouver isn't going to solve Chicago's crappy list of goalies and still add just so we can have problem child Kane.
Despite the fact his cocky attitude would probably fit Kesler perfectly, I don't think we wanna gift Chicago a star goalie in the making.

Not to mention Nik Hjarm is useless to Vancouver. We have 6 Left handed D as is and you want us to add another? While subtracting our #1 minute muncher who just put up 40+ points

Edler would be the main piece in the original proposal, Schneider the secondary piece in exchange for perennial all star Patrick Kane.

Got the sarcasm loud and clear... Just not sure how its justified. Albeit Vancouver and Chicago are rivals, but there's huge potential to fill team needs for either side. Maybe my deal isn't what fans of either team want to see, but the value/caphit is probably pretty close to even, and this "hockey deal" could help both sides, unlike a Hodgson for Kassian swap that was supposed to fix the canucks winger woes earlier this season.

I have been for about a year now.

I just want to see it happen so badly.

Come on, Gillis, we'll give you Kyle Beach. It'll be like having another Zach Kassian! How can you say no?

You did not account for the fact that Schneider is undeniably a HOFer to be, that alone puts his price way higher than any proposal the Hawks can ever put together.

I have a better idea:

Vancouver sign UFA Vokoun & Jokinen to a 4 year contract.
Chicago sign Sutter to a 4 year contract.

Then to vancouver: Sutter
To Chicago: Vokoun & Jokinen

It would be a better deal for Chicago because at least they have the assurance to get 4 years of Service from Vokoun & Jokinen while Edler & Schneider & Raymond could be UFA summer 2013 and loss to free agency.

Alternatively, why not wait next summer (2013) and try to pry one of Edler, Raymond or Schneider as UFA without giving any asset, while keeping Kane and Hjalmarsson.

Well, i dont like these proposal with Future Upcoming UFA, most of their value is in the possibility to extend them but its hard to put a value on this possibility.

Hell no to Pat Kane. Easily one of the most overrated players in the league.

Plus Schneider is going to the Hawks? Just hand them the Stanley Cup because that fills their biggest need

Pat Kane achieved in his 3rd year in the NHL what the Canucks have failed to achieve in their 42 year existence.

I dont think Schneider is for sale, but regardless I doubt the Hawks could ever send a 23 year old Patrick Kane to the Canucks of all teams . Not unless Kesler is going the other way
