I put down the deposit a few weeks back on season tickets ($500 for 2 seats) and my rep called me today. He said taht the only thing available is the $125 seats with the TV in front of you.

Couple of questions... is he just trying to get me to spend more on the $125 tickets, or is there really nothing else available?

Why are there TVs in front of the $125 seats? Are they obstructed views, so they put the TV there to compensate? or is it just a nice amenity?

How is demand for reselling tickets in this general price range during the season? I definitely won't be able to make 40 games, so will I be able to sell these $125 tickets and get my $$ back?

Thanks in advance!
Definitely no obstruction -- TV's are just an extra feature. What section did he offer you? If it's directly behind the net, you might have trouble selling them. If it's a corner like 227 or 208, you shouldn't have too much of an issue.

Also -- didn't someone on here say there were still pairs left in the $73 range? Although it wouldn't surprise me if they are gone already.

What about singles? Are they only down to $125 seats?

Why would directly behind the goal in the new 200's there be an obstruction??

When did I say that? I said he might have trouble selling them because of the poor vantage point, but I said definitely no obstruction.

just got a call from my rep.. Said only thing left in the upper bowl are singles and some first row gallery seats. Told him awhile back I couldn't do anything over $79. Said there might be others that are released but I might have to go with a partial plan down the line eventually. I put a deposit down in March.

Only a handful of upper bowl seats left for singles. I got section 224, row 6, seat 16 for $79. Not bad for a center ice seat in my opinion.

Those are fantastic, should be a great view

I think that's right behind Sam and Joe's new area (just me guessing).

All your advice was helpful thank you for that. I dont think I can afford to spend a year in the lower bowl. I dont know anyone who would want to buy them from me just so I could get my name in the system. I tried talking to a rep today and I had no idea what he was saying. He started talking about the New York Liberty and my head just completely spun. Does anyone have any games that they cant go to that they would like to sell? Im not sure how that works on this website so can someone tell me what I would need to do to be able to talk about purchasing games without breaking the rules?

In the tickets for sale thread, there will be plenty of people with extras.

I am looking to purchase tickets. I was unable to get on the season ticket list this year or get called for any. I was hoping to go to at least 5-10 games this year. If anyone is looking to sell some games in the price range of under 73 or 76 dollars (Im not familiar with the new seating chart yet) then please let me know.

Call up the ticket department and say you wanna put down a deposit. It'll cost you $250 a seat I think. If you want lower bowl seats, you could probably get them right now but for upper bowl seats it seems like you will have to wait until next year at the earliest.

You don't need a deposit, you can buy anything available right now. Not sure if there's still a fee based waiting list though, but I would make it clear that any deposit should only be put towards a maximum ticket price subscription or get your money back

So our rep called and offered sec 201 row 5 AND 6 seats 15, 16. Almost hung up on him, probably the suckiest seats in the Garden after 413-420 row 6. And $79 for those and not even able to sit next to each other?

We have few hours to think about it, but probably not going to jump on those.

The seats in 201 are $73. And I'm not sure if they're the worst though it looks like those seats are right up against a handicap seating or camera wall.

Right, $73. Yup, seems like those seats are right up against a wall. So you can't see half the arena and then there's the ceiling to worry about. Not happy about those seats at all.

Without that camera wall or handicap seating, which ever it is, those wouldn't be as bad. Plus we can't sit next to each other either.

I wonder what is going to happen if the Rangers are bad this season (doubtful). For all those people who purchased season tickets with hopes to re-sell them at a premium and not even go to any games. I'm not saying anyone from this board is doing that and there is nothing wrong with selling games to recoup some losses, but we all know that there is a good percentage of season ticket holders that just get tickets because a team is good with hopes to make money and not attend any games. It just sucks for those who want seasons to actually go to the games..

It seems to me that you want ST,s bad but you want to cherry pick and only go for seats in the upper bowl that are in very high demand. What I had to do as well as many others is spend a season in the lower bowl then relocate during the next season. This makes logical sense to me that if the demand is there that the Rangers would do this. If the team is good as it should be then if you want to resell your seats it should be no problem in the lower bowl. I originally had 4 seats together in the old 233(horrible seats at $89 per) and did not eat one game that I couldn,t make. It does suck that MSG has overpriced the lower bowl but this has been the case for 20 years. I went to having 4 seats in 233 to 6 seats in the 300,s and my invoice was over 2k less for better seats but it was for only one season and I got my foot in the door.

Well considering when I put the deposit down my rep pretty much guaranteed I would be able to get uppers, which is why I put the deposit down when I did.. Dolan got lucky this year with the Rangers being in first and the Knicks making the playoffs. I'll probably just do a partial plan..
