Exhibit A as to how hockey doesn't matter on ESPN:
Last night an ESPN program was discussing how the Detroit Pistons needed a hero citing the heroes on the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions and no mention of the Detroit Red Wings. All this despite the Red Wings probably being the most succesful team in Detroit right now.
Emelin's a better defenseman. Mildly concerned that he hasn't learned to be more careful about who he runs and when after having his face caved in by Alex Svitov.
I like Fistric, but I voted Emelin. I think we saw some hints even in this season that Emelin has a little bit more potential than just being a bone-crunching bottom-pairing guy. He has some decent puck skills. He really focused on playing in his own zone, and had some difficulties there, but he flashes occasional hints that he could do more with the puck eventually too.
