my only hope is that people refuse these high prices and they come down as the game, (if), approaches. this isn't the rangers fan base, these prices are unprecedented here.

These sellers must think all of Hollywood will buy tickets.

I don't know. I thought I remember reading a post earlier ( from CJ maybe) about selling an extra ticket to Game 7 in '03 for $1200 day of the game.
And with this game having the added intrigue of the 0-3 comeback, who knows. This kind of "once in a lifetime" aspect might drive prices in crazy directions.

Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals..
If these prices drop to the $300 range a few days before the game (i.e. not the last minute dump from scalpers trying to just get rid of their tickets), it will be pretty embarrassing IMO for our fanbase.
And honestly, based on what's been selling on stubhub the past day or so now, I don't see them going down. People are spending alot of money in the lower bowl, especially.. many seats are going for 1.2k+ each even outside of club.
the 1k range is what i am referring to. 300 a seat would be amazing, but i feel the only possibility of that is at gametime for a single. they will and should be pricey, but some of the prices have been insane.
DevilChuk, sent you a pm, get back to me at some point.

Just noticed it, sending a reply in a moment
And, as one of the people who have seats listed on stubhub for game 7, many of these prices are simply placeholders. I threw my extras up there for the hell of it at absurd prices because it was easier to do everything at once (uploading the tickets) and just change the prices later since stubhub makes that easy.
All the morons that shelled out for Game 4 (TO SEE A SWEEP!) are too broke to spend that kinda cash AGAIN!
And then the morons that still had money left over spent it on the flight + game 5 tickets to see the cup handed out last night... Oops.

Honestly... I wouldn't count on it. Being Game 7 of the Cup Finals is one thing. But the road it would have taken to get to that point? With all of the great runs/comebacks/moments the Devils have had throughout the playoffs... if they are to force a game 7 after being down 3-0... the excitement surging from all of that will probably only drive them higher. That desperation to get in the building by anyone who can scrape together the money will prevent them from dropping. And you can't tell me that optimism amongst Devils fans will not be at an all time high if they win game 6 and are coming home to try to win it all. The cheapest Game 7 was getting was probably between LA's 2nd goal in game 3 and puck drop of game 4.

I would not count on getting a great deal for game 7 if it goes that far. lmao unless you get in on the college offer if there is one.
Dude I was only willing to spend a maximum of 60 dollars for game 5 and bought 3 tickets at an average of $845 per ticket for game 7.
If I am willing to spend that kind of money on game 7 so is the homeless guy that camps out next to penn station.

That's a very good point, this will just not be any game seven but an historical one. It will get great press even for a hockey team.
I think someone said it best, wait till game day and hope singles go for just $300-400.
hey basement cat, i was the one first in line on saturday, my cousin had the ipad with the soccer matches on. it was nice meeting you. keep me updated on when you would go for those tix wednesday. i got there at 540 the other day, and even by like 12 there was only like 10 of us on the line. considering that, i was thinking around the same time would be good again, but if you plan on goin earlier, id go earlier as well, make sure to get tix and all.

Either that or try to find a scalper and get a deal by the Rock after the game starts. The ship pretty much sailed on the face value tickets though. I wound up paying $370 for a lower bowl single to Game 7 in 2003 because I waited until after Game 5 (tried to get one in the initial sale on Ticketmaster but it got sold out).
Nine years later I shudder to think what a similar ticket will go for - I don't even remember the section number I was in, just that I was right by the goal line looking at Marty so the equivalent section this year would be section 10 or 11, a few rows up.

It was nice to meet you too man. We all had a pretty good time on line. Tell your cousin that he's awesome for bringing the iPad. Please tell me that he's coming on Wednesday
I'm not putting too much thought into when I'd get there on Wed. with the big game being tomorrow. We'll have plenty of time to think about it if the Devs win tomorrow night. As of right now, I'm thinking we should be there a little bit earlier but idk.
Hope that we have the same group of people minus the crackhead dudes and plus some HF members.
lol I really hope we win tomorrow, I'll be oddly fascinated by what those tickets go for this year. Of course the 'face' TM upper center-ice seats were $100 in 2003 (I sat there for Games 1 and 5 that year) and $300 plus this year so...
They ain't getting any lower than they are now, unless you manage to vulture something a regular ticket holder has to dump a couple hours before the game on StubHub, while five million other people are also refreshing and looking at the same time.

Not unprecedented for some of us, the secondary markets has moved from the perception of scalpers and scum brokers to a more open market. Not far off from what I've been offered in the past for potential clinchers.
