Stupid rule imo.
He was being sarcastic, implying Rosehill has no need for a stick for the game he plays.

Umm... Gardiner was using a Bauer last game and Rosehill went to a Reebok.

So, to those who are complaining about Rosehill not being a team player, I think Gardiner is more of me-first type person for getting his way at the end of the day.

He still didn't play well at all.

I had no clue there was a stick rule such as this and its surprising to hear that they would limit their players in such a way in the AHL. Stick preference is huge for players.

How is Hamiltons play specifically? I see he has potted a few but is also -7. Its a primarily a shut down role i'm assuming playing with Zigomanis. Who else are his usual line mates.
I'm hoping Hamilton can be a fresh face on the fourth line for the leafs next year. Does this seem plausible?

That doesn't mean anything. Maybe the team just want their best offensive defenseman to have a better puck control rather than an enforcer?

What about Colborne?

Who said he wants to use a Reebok or CCM. I've seen him go through both, meaning he probably hasn't found much of a comfort level, yet no one ever hears him complain. With that said, it's not like Gardiner had a PC to voice his displeasure, but he's made it clear.

I'm just not pleased with how it seems that Gardiner feels he's entitled to something just because he played in the NHL this season.

Either way, I'm not that bothered by it, I'm just expressing how I see the situation.

Hahah Marlies called me today - I didn't answer but they left a message.

Seems they had my number from Ticketmaster as I bought tickets for last series.

They're realllly trying to sell tickets if they're calling past buyers to try and sell them for the upcoming games haha. I got an email too!

I want to think that Kadri will make a surprise appearance at thurdays game and there not saying anything becuase they will want to reveal it near game time so norfolk is off their game.

Its possible

Eakins said ziggy had a full practice and blacker is back on the ice, but no word on kadri (even though someone posted he was skating again). Not earing updates on his status is driving me CRAZY!

Eakins interview June 6th:
- Zigo is coming back it seems, he is well conditioned but we don't expect him to make an impact right away after waiting for so long. No one expects him to be the sole reason for us to win the team, but it's good to have him.
- Regarding Colborne's disappearance after the hot start, he says there are several matters due to this, he lost his best linemate in crabb and after a torrid start, probably expected too much from himself. Came back to reality mid-season, he was losing it and when he was starting to place a sound game again, his goal scoring drought didn't help him and it prolly blocked him. With Ashton coming back in, it seems to have helped Joe and they have been line shuffling, as St. Louis and Lecavalier does, and that has helped both of them immensely. Which helps building chemistry. (Which is true and Colborne has seem MUCH better in the past few games)
-Inquired if Joe needs motivation, apparently he is always self motivated, has one or two days he is off, even then dallas is lenient unless Eakins sees he needs a kick in the ass. He's extremely motivated, usually never worried about him.

Not sure where you got the idea that Gardiner "feels he's entitled to a stick". That's stupidity. People here just say crap. Gardiner just said that he's had to use a different stick. Everyone else is making it a way bigger deal then it needs to be. More then anything, I find the ice is the biggest difference. The ice in Norfolk seems terrible. Something that I guarantee they aren't use to.

I tweeted Carl Klingberg of the IceCaps asking him about the Norfolk ice being bad and he replied to me with "haha I don't know about that"

See but it might be different for him. Gardiner and other NHLers are use to top of the line facilities where the ice is pristine. Did you see Norfolk? The place is a barn, and the past few days when they played there games, it was as hot as sin out. Definitely had an effect on the game.

Man, they're keeping everything airtight on Kadri. Was reading the Star today too, he hasn't been seen in days apparently. I was hoping he'd be back for game 3 since I'm going with friends tomorrow night but I guess not
