Oscar Lindberg has picked up two helpers after two periods against Frölunda today.
He just scored a goal too. He's killing it today.

Lindberg 1+2 tonight.

Fasth has scored twice tonight.

Marvelous starts for the two forwards.

Hopefully they can keep it up. Do they have the skill level to break out like Silfverberg?

Fasth is definitely up there. O Lindberg needs to show a bit more (his team is red hot right now and everyone is scoring a ton).

Fasth played LW with Krog and Rahksani tonight and scored two, if he stays there his stats will come too.

Yeah - that's a promotion from the 3rd to the 1st line, no? That's almost as big a statement as the goals themselves.

I could tell you my view of Oscars game tonight, but Im just an anonymous homer poster. But the words from Swedish national team coach Per Marts, who saw the game as well, probably speaks with a different credability: "I think Oscar was really good, best player on the ice".

This was the 2nd game this season that Oscar scored 3 points. Per Marts was watching both games on site. I wouldnt be surprised if we see him in the national team later this autumn.

And another Rangers prospect is set to kickoff the new season with a new team in the WHL. Shane McColgan practiced with the Blades for the first time in a couple weeks after suffering a minor knee injury in an intrasquad game a while back. He said it felt awesome to be back on the ice again. He'll be in the lineup on Friday when the Blades kick off the season.
Hehe, its hard to beat a big fat ring.

Hopefully Lindberg and Fast continue their play. The Rangers are going to need some cheap players to play key roles in the next few years with their numerous free agents and the cap being set at a number below $70.2M and it will probably stay there for a few years. Lindberg and Fast will have 2 years remaining on their ELCs after this season.

Didn't see it posted anywhere, but Mikhail Pashnin got crushed by a high hit a week and a half ago. I can't find any information on how badly he's hurt, but needless to say he hasn't played since the incident.

5:35 mark.

Looked like a clean hit to me appeared to have his arms down, didn't leave his feet. Hopefully Pashnin is alright.

That said, I would never, ever want to have a Rangers prospect play in the KHL. Pashnin just got completely lit up, and definitely has some sort of neck/head injury. In this case, his head should be COMPLETELY stabilized and immobilized by a neck brace. You can see him moving his head around on the spine board as he is being taken out!

Now maybe he doesn't have a neck injury and he is fine, but if he had some sort of fracture and was moving his head around like that, one wrong move and that is instant paralysis from the neck down. After seeing this and the tragedy that was Chere, I don't want a prospect playing in a league where the "medical staff" are so uneducated. That is a disgraceful performance by the medical staff.

???

Why would he have a neck injury?

The hit talked about is at the 5:35 mark. I don't know how many times I've seen players in the NHL crawl to the bench after hits like that...

I know he has skill and plays with an edge, but the dude just can't score.

Very low on him as a prospect.
