I thought I read somewhere that St Croix signed recently, but maybe I'm losing my mind...

McColgan has been a disappointment... Granted, he was a mid round pick and not every draft pick is going to make it, but he had some nice qualities to his game the first few times that I saw him. He just doesn't seem to have progressed...

Really needs to step it up and get over a ppg. Can be a useful player but needs to go all out all the time. He's smaller than he's listed too. We'll see what happens by March.

Sam Noreau now with 7 pts in 12 games. No fights so far, don't think anyone wants to drop the gloves with him in the Q.

Had the game last night, too.

Pretty sure they have next week's against USA U-18.

A lot of Minnesota on tv this season.

I meant "God damn" as in they were supposed to show it live and not delayed. The exhibition game against U-18 isn't on TV.

i was just trying to behelpful.

I have an NCAA game set to record the 26th.

Ill double check, but Minny plays on the 26th against U-18. And i've been attempting to follow Minny.

Ill check later. Could be Michigan vs Miami.

There is a lot of NCAA this season on tv.

I'm sure others have asked the same question but I'm really interested in this prospect Lindberg.

In my opinion, the only real weakness this club has is depth on the bottom 6. I was hoping one of Miller/Fast could make the roster off of training camp, while the other could be a mid season call up. Add Lindberg to that and I think this is one of the most complete clubs in the league.

Now looking, The Michigan-Miami game on the 26th isn't on TV.

The only game on FCS on the 26th are Northeastern vs New Hampshire and Alaska-Anchorage vs North Dakota.

Ahhhh that was it, North Dakota.

Sorry for the confusion.

I'm sure there will be more of Minnesota on tv through out the year.

Definitely. The only games that aren't on TV are the games against Alaska-Anchorage in a few weeks and the game against U18 next week.

Does anyone know how Nieves & Fogarty are doing? I feel that they have been invisible to this thread all of a sudden.

Nieves has three assists in three games I believe. Fogarty hasn't recorded a point yet in three or four.

Don't want people to read into that too much. He's created plenty of opportunities, but his line hasn't converted. Patience is key with Fogarty.

Very pleased with the statistical production from Sammy Noreau thus far. I haven't seen him this season in-game--can anyone speak to how he has looked? How is he skating?

Still concerned about St. Croix. The production is nice, but we already knew he could post gaudy numbers in the WHL. How is he playing away from the puck? Has he bulked up at all? Those are the things that will make or break St. Croix.

Lastly, I still want Myles Bell. He's going to be an NHL player.

I'm with you on Noreau. It's nice to see some offense from him. Could be a real solid pickup. Hopefully someone has some first hand info to share.

St. Croix has definitely improved away from the puck, but he's still a little hesitant to get into the dirty areas. One shift he's fearless, and the next he's dancing around on the perimeter looking to get rid of the puck. I think a couple years in the AHL will suit him well.

With you again on Bell. Loved him during his draft year. Hopefully he's interested in coming here.

Yeah, McColgan has been decent when I've seen him. Alot of energy, good speed and some smarts etc. But something does seem to be missing...

Not sure if anyone else watched Minnesota this weekend.

Skjei is very good.

However, for some reason he had zero shifts in the third period in the second game against Michigan Tech. Didnt see him on the ice.

He got hit pretty hard late in the second (off camera). Took the hit to make a play, real good outlet pass to start a rush. Dont know if that hit had anything to do with him not playing in the third.

Thanks
I like McColgan. I can see that he is doing okay with a struggling Blades team and in 14 GP has a 2-9-11. That's decent, but he also has a -4. Honestly he's stepped it up in the Ranger's camps before so I wouldn't rule him out just yet..... Ceresnak however is making me upset, but at least he was a later "project" pick. I'm liking Noreau's production lately. I guess he realized that maybe focusing on actual hockey instead of fighting will have him earn a contract, although still good that he still has grit (something that McColgan hasn't lost either). St. Croix still needs to get bigger and take a little more opportunities in the corners. When he can do this and still score, then call him up. But for right now, not a huge fan. Still like his scoring though.

As for the guys in Europe, props to you guys!! Loving the way Fasth (seriously what is his last name) and Lindberg have been playing. Can't wait till they come to NA. Andersson is still only 18 and is hopping from SEL to J20 so that's good. Tearing it up in J20 as a D-Man. I want to see more of Spelling. Just not enough to get me liking him yet, but I think he is also tearing up J20's too so idk.

College guys like Nieves, Skjei, and Fogarty are going to be good. Hasn't it seem like the past drafts that we have selected college bound players have been good? Got nothing to worry about with these guys that much.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.... WE NEED TO DRAFT A GOOD GOALIE!!!! So far in this coming draft, I'm liking Fucale, Comrie, Husso, and Volkov. NOt to mention the many undrafted college FA's still available.... cough cough Grosenick.... cough cough Milner.
