I understand the ÷zil-negotiations are done over the phone. And that Wenger has to break his wage-structure.

Hope we get some Redknapp wheeling and dealing from his car window later today.

"Oi, that Ozil, we looked at 'im when we was at Tot'nam. We was in for 'im, but Real pulled a deal off. Tried to bring 'im in this window but the boy didn't want to drop to the Champ'ship."

Responding to the Enrique stuff, it seems Rodgers can get a lot more out of players than thought. He's a decent player, and until they get a healthy player that's better they should hold onto him.

AC Milan have confirmed that Kaka is to rejoin the club from Real Madrid on a 2-year deal. (SSN)

No suitors for Coentrao it seems. He's staying at the club according to Ancelotti. (ESPNFC)

Fans chanting not to sell Ozil and PSG might be making a last minute bid.

I read on L'Equipe Ozil's deal is done.
Would fit well with PSG's needs though, so I wouldn't be surprised.

Bad news is that Thauvin is moving to Marseille for 15M€. Football world is crap.

Oezil is a perfect addition to the Gunners if they are serious about winning some hardware. Their starting XI just got better and it allows for some midfield rotation (especially with Flamini and when Arteta comes back) to handle CL in addition to the prem.

Very stoked at this signing as an Arsenal fan, if it can be finalized. Now just need RB and possibly a CF understudy.

Of course we don't want to see Ozil leave. Why would we want to see the most productive playmaker of the last three years go?

I have no idea why Madrid are selling Ozil or why Arsenal are buying him, but I'm excited at being able to see more of him.

Considering he's a first team player on any squad in the world (should be on Madrid as well IMO), why wouldnt Arsenal buy him?? He's top quality.

Arsenal have inquired about Demba Ba. Chelsea want a £3m loan fee for him but Arsenal are willing to give £1.5m. Ba also has offers from Valencia and Napoli.

United have met Ander Herrera's release clause.

Southampton apparently sold their 25% of Bale's next transfer for 3.5M and some nobody goalie some time ago. 25M euros they just missed out on. Ouch.

Oh yeah he's fantastic and will improve them but it seems like the last thing they need. They'll be fun to watch him there, if nothing else though.

In other news, Swindon Town have signed one of my Football Manager 2007 superstars, Dany N'Guessan.

Sunderland striker Stephane Sessegnon is at the WBA training ground ahead of his £5m move, according to @Scottwilsonecho. #SAFC #WBA wow good move for WBA

Their starting XI probably didnt need him as much (although he is a definite upgrade) but Wenger couldnt rotate the midfield without a huge drop-off in talent and experience, which means they couldnt compete at CL and Prem. Bringing in Flamini and Oezil changes that.

If they secure Ba or someone similar and a RB today they will be in great shape going forward.
