As usual, Eklund never gets things completely right, but he did acknowledge a trade was brewing.

The Winnipeg Jets and Columbus Blue Jackets have agreed upon a deal that will impact both franchise for a long time.

Winnipeg Jets receive:

James Wisniewski, Scott Glennie, Matt Calvert, CLB 2nd round pick (2012), CLB 3rd round pick (2013)

Columbus Blue Jackets receive:

Nik Antropov, Mark Scheifele, Randy Jones, and WPG 1st round pick (2012)

Impact players moving

Wow. That deal is moving a LW, a C, an RW, a D, a 1st, a 2nd, and a 3rd. All that's missing is a goalie for the whole package.

Columbus confirms. We feel very strongly that with Couture, Johansen and Scheifele down the middle for the foreseeable future we are headed in the right direction.

still in trade talks about Vanek and is open to offers. Rehger is also on the block for those of you looking for a shut down defenseman.

I am looking to trade Alex Burmistrov for another young top 6 center.

Sort of like a change of scenery for both players. If anyone is looking to swap their young guy for mine...shoot me a pm

NOTE: Also looking to acquire secondary scoring...will take on salary dump for this season

All updates to NHL 12 will either be done tonight or tomorrow, but they will definitely be done before the sim on Wednesday.

Major deal in Buffalo

On behalf of the Buffalo Sabres organization I am pleased to announce that our organization has acquired via trade Milan Michalek, Chris Phillips and Ottawa's 2nd round pick in exchange for Tomas Vanek, Andrei Sekejra and Edmonton's 4th round pick.

This deal enables our organization to continue to build through the draft, improve defensively and maintain a high skill level in our top 6.

Michalek
Phillips
2nd

Vanek
Sekejra
4th

This now gives our organization 4 2nd round picks in this years draft.

Confirm. Losing a proven performer like Milan and a battle-worn veteran like Chris hurts, but we feel as though we're getting the best player in the deal in Thomas Vanek. He'll add a much-needed scoring punch that Milan just didn't provide.

Does Dallas pronounce it 'bay-gull' or 'bahg-ull'? Inquiring minds want to know.

It's pronounced, mmmmmm.

I could ask my sister she lived in Dallas, but "bahg-ull" seems right, maybe? I say it "bay-gull" cause ya know, I'm normal.

The Senators are very excited to announce that they agree with Dallas' GM.

EDIT: I also pronounce it bay-gull, but bahg-ull is a guaranteed way to make me laugh. I love that pronunciation.

You want to call it in? or should I?

Maybe I should have said "phone it in." Since that's how you guys up in America's Hat say it.

I take no offenc(s, Americans)e whatsoever. Truth be told, I love me a good Canada joke. Badass, though.

Back on topic, mulling over a few trade offers. Might not be done yet.

I'm going to be in the main chat room to take offers on Marian Gaborik.

If anyone wants to stop in and kick the tires then just stop by and we can talk. In be in there in like 5 minutes and will stay there for half an hour or so.

Don't kick too hard he may shatter.

Jamie Benn is still available however, and you can kick him as hard as you want.
