I think it will be good to get out of NJ.

Now they can just focus on their play and get away from home life/home crowd and all that.

Good. Why bother? They lost.

That is a reason I always record the game and go do something else for the next 2 and half hours. If I check the score and see the Devils won, I'd watch the full game without all the Ulcer-inducing Angst. Otherwise, I just record over THAT game with the next game.

Here's hoping the Devils give me a reason to watch Game 3.

True

But as an autograph snob I appreciate any player that has a clean, consistent autograph. Stevens is one of them.

I wonder I they shouldn't go back to being sequestered in hotels during home playoff games rather than letting them sleep at home.

I like it. Although I'd put Hedberg in goal and have Marty man the point.

Secondly, as a poster pointed out earlier. We need a 4-1 or 4-2 victory. The Kings have to face adversity. Actually I think this could go 7. We fight tooth and nail to take this to 7 games and then we lose the 7th game at home.
Why do you think it would matter to the Kings if they lost Game 3 by a score of 2-1 or 8-1? They're professional athletes, not a fragile elementary school softball team, the score makes no difference, just win.

I've never seen him sign his name like that. He never signed autographs like that back in his playing days anyway.

This Steiner puck is what I'm used to seeing

But I agree that Cuplifting auto is a much nicer, crisper autograph. Maybe he takes more pride in signing these days.

I honestly don't think we need a signature blow out win...We need any win, just to make this a series haha. Who cares about trying to break their confidence by bending them over, we have to win tomorrow just to prevent life support.

A blow out win would be nice, but it's highly unlikely we'll get one with the way Quick and the Kings D are playing. Score first, hold a lead, just win. That's all. We need to get back in this series somehow.

Let's put Mills in net for Marty while we're at it.

Yep, we need our star players to step up, regardless of the great defence the Kings are playing against them.

Not a huge fan of Langs. My favorite by far is Parise's. Honorable mentions go to Clarkson, Zajac and Taormina. Football my favorite is Chase Blackburn AINEC

He tends to shorten his autograph on pucks due to the smaller surface. He still rarely signs which is sad.

We need to bury our chances. Stop squeezing the stick and bury it when the net is wide open

Not opposed to sitting Clarkson. Not happy with his game overall and he is hurt. A rested Sykora could provide a boost too. Just no need to touch the D though.

It is tough because outside of our awful power play we are playing good and we are getting chances. Hard thing to change with line changes etc. they need a speech and other mental boosts more then anything

Tough. Tough to think that that team is not one of those teams of destiny. Tough to think after the all NJ has gone through these past 2 seasons, highs and extreme lows, that this, this is how it ends. I'm fighting it, fighting that feeling that its over. Not to that team. Not to Philly West and that smug-face loser Carter.

Come NJ, tell me there is one more chapter, don't go down like this.

Let this last game be the last page in a chapter where you flip the page and the next one is titled "Redemption", "The Rise", "Phoenix", I'll take any cliched title, just make it so.

**** this. The Kings better do well to close NJ out in L.A. or at the very least take one of them. If they give NJ any sort of a lifeline, watch out.

It's not going to end this way. Not after last season and not after everything they overcame to get to this point. The Kings need to sweat a little bit here. What kind of champion doesn't overcome adversity during the most important time of the season? That just doesn't sit well with me. AT ALL.

I don't want to hear the stats about 0-2 teams coming back. Forget all that. Win Game 3 and all that's out the window. Then it's just coming back from 2-1 down. That happens all the time. NJ did it twice already this spring.

Down 2-1 against Florida, Devils win.
Down 3-2 against Florida, Devils win.
Down 2-1 against the Rangers, Devils win.

They've done it before, they can do it again. They just like to do things dramatically.

We'll be fine if we can score more than 1 goal, wow the offense has been piss poor.

I feel so bad for Marty, he is playing out of his mind, better than Quick IMO, and nobody is giving him any support.

Hey where's that lucky Canucks fan that's seemingly popped up everytime this team is in a hole?

I'm not one to be superstitious, but hey.. why not?

But seriously, I've said it before, using historic numbers and trends only sets you up for false expectations. Don't take any of it to heart. It's better to look at the team for what it is right now to truly judge their ability to come back from this.

What I see is a team that's continued to prove its ability to come back and a team that learns from its own mistakes.
