Am I the only one who doesn't think Quick has been all that great? The Devils are just botching all their high quality scoring chances..
I agree completely. Quick has the ability to steal a game, and that's what I keep saying, and sadly he didn't steal this one. I'm sure there is one coming when this team FINALLY WAKES UP, and uses their brain like Lundqvist in game 3 vs the Rangers.
I hope he doesn't get resigned the guy isn't clutch at all and his hardworking style with little true talent doesn't help in the playoffs when everyone tries hard.
Kovy>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Parise in this playoffs and throughout their entire career. I can't stress the infinite amount of > signs.
Kovalchuk is really hurt, Parise is playing on his contract year completely healthy.
Kovalchuk>>>>Parise this playoffs.
Neither of them is showing up where it counts. And I'll give Kovy more of a pass than many others, but that tee-up pass onto a King stick in OT was ****ing indefensible even if his back is wonky.
not gonna lie, i got that feeling where im not even mad, just extremely disappointed. pretty much lights out now. although both were one goal OT games, losing two straight to start at home is pitiful.

No, Quick hasnt really had to do much, and as Saugus said, he's been pretty lucky on some bounces just missing, missed ENGs, and the Kovalchuk crossbar with 19 seconds left.
Devils should have won Game 1, and easily could have won tonight. Either team could be up 2-0, if "life were fair" it would be 1-1, but there's nothing you can do now.

Kovy has 0 GWGs in his playoff career. Don't use a "clutch" argument when comparing these two.
They aren't going into LA and taking the next 2. Especially if the lineup stays about the same. Top to bottom they just aren't that good enough to recover. They're not. Felt bad for the folks who paid up the rectum for this crap.
We need a roster change. I don't care how, but one of Sykora/Larsson/Tallinder needs to see ice time this series if for nothing more than a shake-up.
I'm still surprised that Pete didn't sit YaYo and put Sykie back in the lineup after Game 1.
In a game where our Top guys weren't getting it done, we could've used a sniper like Sykie and his shot. Who knows if he could've gotten it done? The other guys sure haven't.
He'd better put Sykie in the next game....This is now DESPERATION TIME.

Josefson is a vastly superior player at this point. Stop living in the past.
I'm expecting big lineup changes next game. No more ********, Clarkson shouldn't be seeing big minutes because he's proven these 2 games that he ****ing sucks.
The Devils better get it together, they cannot go out like this. They are better than this

Much of that has to do with the Kings being excellent defensively, particularly their forwards backchecking in the slot. Very rarely do we get those open looks. Kovy missed the net with 20 seconds left because of Kopitar tying up his stick, not because he ****ed up.

I'm pretty sure I mentioned the bad line change, but there were several blown coverages by the fourth line after that that are more directly responsible for the goal. Not sure why they were out there against the Richards/Carter line to begin with.
I'll be avoiding hockey media until next game as I'm sure they'll just slobber all over how LAK still has several gears to ramp up when that ****ing team has scored 2 ******* regulation goals just like us.
