Who Do You Think The Injured King Is?

Twitter:

Quote:
Hockey Buzz Eklund ‏@Eklund postgame, I asked a King who I know is playing through a pretty serious injury “How are you feeling? Answer:”Good enough to win Monday.”

I know there was some speculation in the GDT it might be Dustin Brown. He was nowhere in game 2 except for a bonehead turnover that almost cost the game with 0:28 to go in the third period.

My money is on Brown. But it might also be Williams, who was held out at least one shift in the first period last night, and perhaps two.

Brown

From Matt Barry (who's only right about injuries):
Quote:
Dustin Brown’s shoulder is probably on the same level as Gaborik (Shane Doan ****ed him up good) but he’s fighting like mad.

There is no doubt that Brown has an injury. I figured shoulder since his heart is still there and he is still throwing his weight around, since the hit by Hanzal, however, he hasn't done anything with the puck

I'd imagine there are a bunch of guys playing through significant injuries right now.

Only one?

I'll be surprised if the injury list isn't at least 6 deep. Several are banged up on both teams.

I'd venture to guess that the only healthy players are Kopitar and Nolan.

Was focused on what Ecklund wrote, about the "pretty serious injury" he is referencing, and the player's response.

I am sure players on both sides are playing injured. Devils' fans are speculating that Kovi and Clarkson are playing injured as well.

Also from Barry

Williams is obviously hurt (knee) but has been an absolute trooper.

Scuderi is obviously hurt (knee) but has been an absolute trooper

It's fairly obvious Kovalchuk is hurt. He sat out a game and he is not putting ANY effort into winning board battles or reaching out for the puck.

Mitchell and Richards look like they are both nursing significant injuries.

I keep thinking it's Richards. You can see he has the heart, but just isn't 100%.

If you watch at 2:27 in this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0SDedKPcV9Y), you can kind of tell who is, who isn't. Actually surprised at Brown's reaction; he throws both hands up in the air and jumps around on the bench. So it's probably not his knee.

Scuderi (far left) kind of throws his arms halfway up but doesn't really hop.

Doughty is clearly healthy from his reaction

**** Doan and Hanzal. Two big factors.

Well Brown did have one nifty play with the puck in the o-zone last night where he made a slick little move on a guy and got around him, and for a sudden moment it looked like a great chance between him & Kopi.

He's top of the walking wounded list, I don't think anyone should doubt it. Right now it's all guts for Brownie because he smells the glory.

There are no injuries and there are no excuses right now. Both teams have abundances of them.

The Kings have plenty of course, but what is carrying them through this challenge is the amount of skill and depth.

I'd throw Voynov in the "looks injured" category too. Haven't seen his speed in a few games.

If one or more of the following are truly hurt and not able to perform
offensive contributions on which they can setup plays or shoot near their capabilities - Brown, Richards, and / or Williams, the Kings
need to get Richardson out of the lineup and get Gagne in; for dozens
of reasons - he can play on the 4th line, power-less play, and if one of the injured gets worse during the game and becomes a liability,
we will need him all the more. I would insert Gagne right now period.
Richardson looked like a 'neutral player' the last 2 games - helping both teams about the same - you could not tell if he was playing for the Kings or Devils.

We need a gif of that bench celebrating.
