I have the 02-03 set where he only played in 6 games but amassed 46 pim's. I also have home, away, alt. set for Simon Desormeaux but I really like that set and would maybe trade one or two of those but not sell 'em.
The guy is a local hero around here. Not many players get drafted out of Fredericton.
WOW! Somebody else from Fredericton who posts on Kings boards! I lived there for 4 years while I went to STU and you're right, nobody gets drafted out of New Brunswick, let alone Fredericton. Wish I was back in town though, best martial arts in Eastern Canada.
Now if we could only get Syd to go along with his enforcer.
If, somehow, Crosby becomes a UFA I think we've set ourselves up to really attract him to LA. He's been working out in LA over the summer, been to our rookie camp, and we have his enforcer/housemate in our ranks. I'd like to see Eric develop a really sound defensive game as he's looking to be a middleweight at best. Then again, he and Flinn could team up to provide all the toughness we need but we also need those enforcers to be able to take a regular shift.

I definately think that Neilson will be able to skate a regular shift in the NHL. I think at the very least, he could be a Cowan like player, 10 odd goals, and 100+ pim's, while at the high of his potential maybe a Simon like player?

Heck, for all we know he could pull a Lindros and refuse to play for the team that he was drafted by.

He's not nearly as fast as Avery and a much better fighter. I'd liken him to Darcy Hordichuck or Eric Boulton. I've seen him play quite a few times live as I've went to watch Crosby and Pouliot. I like the way he stands up for his teammates. I know his father pretty well and he's darn proud of Eric.
