Should we bring Stone in next season, and if so, where?

Personally, I think he should go right in with Spezza and Michalek. I think he would be great with Spezza feeding him pucks, what with his goal-scoring touch.
What does the general fanbase think?

Also, I know he will get moved around a lot and could be up and down between Ottawa and Bingo. This is just for general consensus.

I'd rather have him start in Bingo next year. See what he can do and if he deserves the shot, bring him back up.

If he proves he's top-6 worthy straight out of training camp, I wouldn't mind having him in Ottawa tho.

In all honesty, I think the opening roster will be dependant on who can find chemistry with a player who has already made the club.

Basically someone needs to click with one of Spezza, Turris or Foligno.

Binghamton could end up STACKED, depending on who stays in the CHL.

Unless I'm mistaken all of the following could make the jump:

Zibanejad
Stone
Prince
JG Pageau
Claesson
Silfverberg

I'd really like to see if a Stone-Zibanejad-Prince line could click. (Although Petersson-Zibanejad-Prince looked pretty good in the rookie tournament)

See what he does in training camp. I like battles. May the best man win. If he plays in Ottawa, then with Spezza would be the best spot.

Depends what he does in training camp, but I voted to keep him in Bingo. I don't really like bringing up prospects early.

Play him where he proves to be most comfortable once we get a good read on him in training camp.

This should be a "late September" poll, not a "June" poll.

The way I look at it is to let all players come into training camp with equal opportunity to make the roster.

Silfverberg deserves to get a good long look in the top 6. He will need time to adapt to the North American game, but he's proven in Europe he's one heck of an offensive threat.

Stone has skill, albeit he is still not a superb skater.

Let all players and prospects fight it out in training camp. This is exactly what we need, internal competition, you don't have what it takes? Fine we got someone else in the system breathing in your neck to take your place.

I could see Stone fitting with Spezza. Out of everyone on the sens he is the most likely to fill that high shot% style that Spezza likes to play.

Silfverberg would fit well with Turris but that line is full unless Alfie retires.

No reason to rush him, start him in Bingo and go from there.

Considering his place is directly in front of the net, doesn't matter if he comes in from right or left imo.

With Spezz. Filatov got a shot. Stone deserves one too. As does Ziba and Silf.

I like to play it safe with prospects. Let's sign a couple of FAs for the big team and let's keep the prospects down in Bingo until they make it impossible to ignore them or as injury call-ups. We could have a powerhouse AHL team next year, let's them get stronger, faster, wiser and cockier and get that big winning attitude.

The only prospects with a ticket to the NHL next year should be Silfverberg and maybe BoroCop.

Depends on the environment in Bingo.

If Murray & Co. can get some positive vibes happening in Binghamton, then I'm all for keeping him in the AHL this season. Overall, he really needs that year of development before he's ready for the NHL.

I'd like to see Stone start in the AHL. I just don't think his speed's good enough to step in and play a top-6 role right away.

Shouldn't the answer be: if he makes it out of camp?

That's my top 6 I want to see. Stone is destined to be with Spezza. Elite hands in front of the net and lovesd getting sniping them in from the front of the net.

Silf learns from Alfie on the 2nd line and provides some solid two way play and lethal shot...

I believe that Silfverberg and Borowiecki are the only prospects expected to be on the team full time next season. The only thing that will change that to start the season is training camp.

We're loaded with forwards right now, I think that it would take one heck of a training camp to displace somebody with a 1-way contract.

Option 4. Keep him in the minors but make sure he's high on the list of guys who will be called up first in case of injury or under-performing.

Performance at camp, performance in AHL and health of others will be biggest factors, but his sniping potential is certainly needed on this team.

Personally, I hope Murray makes a "good hockey trade" and uses the abundance of young talent upfront to get a defenceman or a true top-6 guy.

No matter what, I think we have enough quality in the lineup to be competitive at the beginning of the year, but tweaks are needed. These kids will be hungry and I wouldn't be surprised to see Stone stick.

Tentatively saying "Leave him in Bingo" because I expect the two Swedes to make it. Obviously things can change extremely quickly in camp.
