It's been a slow month for hockey, so I don't mind what thread is called what. This is a good move for the Pens. Going into those high scoring, 10 goal games won't win championships in this league, hence they needed to solidify their goaltending.
Not surprised by this, kind of thought he would end up in TO though.
I think this was kind of off the board, the goaltending market is going to heat up.
Insane if you look at every media outlet with a comment section it's like 95% Leafs faithful being either:
A) Mad at BB
B) Delusional as always
C) Roberto to Toronto for a bag of pucks trade, also have seen a few where VAN has to add to do it... what a joke.
Also, Vokun at two years at $1 million each, that's a pretty good deal considering there were talks he was going back to Europe after this season if he wasn't going to be a starter.
Edit: It would be a good deal at $1 million. Unfortunately I had teh dumb, and misread the original deal. At $2 million/year I think that's less good.

i honestly think MAF is incredibly overrated, i would not want him on my team.
whats with all the threads? 26 in around a month....
Always has something incredibly important to say, and doesn't know where to post. Especially when it comes to offseason trade ideas, or coaching changes. Its not like we have threads for those..
Wait...
On topic: I'd take MAF. He'd be a good filler for Kipper, if we decide to ship him out. He has shown he can hold down net decently well. The collapse against the Flyers can be partially accredited to the poor defense in front of MAF.
Wow. $2 million / year = not as good. Thanks for fixing.
?... If I was a team like Columbus, I'd give Vokoun $4m without a second thought. $2m is a great deal for getting the best insurance you could get for MAF.

I suppose, just seems like $2 million is a lot to spend on a backup. I guess it's not that bad with a $70 million salary cap.
