Given the things he's said about Europe before, it surprises me that he would sign over there earlier than halfway through july. I guess he got an offer just too good to pass up on. Great skill, not as great hockey sense but perhaps good enough to be successfull over there. I could see him coming back to the NHL on a 2-way deal in an AHL veteran/call up role up four or five years from now (will probably be back in a year if he flops though), but I think we've seen him as an NHL regular for the last time. I was always hoping he could find his niche in the NHL, seems like a likeable guy off the ice.
