Ah yes, this part. Where every year a big name UFA is rumored to come here, tours the city, meets everyone, increases his value on the free agent market, then signs elsewhere at the last minute.
we have had the same management team since 2003....let's see going forward if we notice a change .
I think there's no question Jaromir has always been interested at the thought of playing in a market like Montreal. Whether it actually happens is another thing.
I'd like this. He won't be able to keep up with top line minutes at all so I don't see how he could play with Plekanec... but he would be great for the powerplay.

1 year at 1 or 1.5 million, I do it no question.
I wish he would sign for 1.1.5 but its not happening. more like 2.5-3 mil since hes still got game
I do remember Jagr always saying he wanted to play for a Canadain team before retiring....I'd say what better time ....
Yes, but you also believe that Radulov only come back to the NHL so he could burn his ELC then sign in Montreal. Where are we going to fit all these players, are you sure there's no-one else?

The problem is that I'm not sure he can take the tough-minutes that Plekanec usually gets at this stage of his career, and Montreal pretty much has to use Pleks as their tough-minutes guy because DD can't do it and Eller isn't there yet. The fit isn't quite as good as you'd think.
That said, he'd make a fantastic RW for DD and would free up Cole to help Pleks do the heavy lifting.
He ranked 6th on the Flyers (fowards only) in terms of level of opposition so he played top 6 opposition mostly. He also had a high Ozone start but still, highest CorsiRel on the Flyers. He'd be a good fit, like you said, with DD but he's also credible in second toughs in case of injuries.
Would be interesting to take a look at the Flyers scoring chances and see if they paint a similar picture.
I think he'd be a good addition (especially considering the market). Now he has to actually want to come here.

Oh.
well it seems pretty obvious that was correct, (Radu burning off his ELC)
Radu won't be back in Nashville next year, and RANGERS are interested supposedly...so why not HABS ???Why wouldn't you bring in a guy (Radulov)who was already a super star in the QUEBEC MARKET???
I said too many times now and long before the media start saying it , Roy in MTL=Radulov in Mtl...that i do 100% believe .
Yes i was bashing Gauthier for not going after Jagr last year(before he signed with Philly)....When i looked at our line up it was baffling how Jagr wasn't a better option than other players...blew my mind to be honest. In the end we did finish near last, so i guess that's why we didn't need Jagr.
I think his play this year proves that he can still play top 6 minutes. That's the kind of depth you need to challenge for the Cup. Cheap, high end talent. And we can balance his work load with a few good moves in the off-season.
A line of Pacioretty - Plekanec - Jagr is mouth-watering.
