i think what irks devils fans is that no matter what they do they will necer surpass the rangers. The funny thing is that they get support from all the nhl analysts especially nbc

"The offensively challenged Los Angeles Kings addressed their needs with a blockbuster trade in hopes of boosting their postseason chances.

Jeff Carter is expected to make his Kings debut Saturday night against the visiting Chicago Blackhawks, who again will be without captain Jonathan Toews.

Los Angeles is in danger of falling out of the Western Conference playoff picture and ranks last in the NHL in goals. It has lost four straight and has scored one goal or fewer five times during a 1-4-2 stretch".

AS of yesterday:

Kings’ record since the Jeff Carter trade

The Kings are now a gaudy 27-7-3 since the trade that sent Carter to Los Angeles.

Just watching his presser just now and it's like Rocky at the end of the Drago fight

Yup, it's like night and day comparing the Kings and Rangers when it comes to their transition game.

And as spectacular as Quick has been, the Kings D has been stellar as well. They aren't giving up odd man rushes left and right like the Rangers did towards the end.

Perhaps Lundy was fatigued? Perhaps Quick had enough rest between series? Perhaps LA has enough offense to give their D a rest?

The Rangers showed heart all season. If the Rangers made the finals against LA I don't believe they could have matched the offensive rushes from LA. We'll have the summer to watch and see what moves the team will make in order to compete at a higher level.

It should be fun.
You can sell me that Quick is better than Lundqvist. But one thing that LA does magnitudes better than the Rangers is cleaning up in front and transitioning out of the zone. Ranger sit and wait a lot.

The Kings (and Bruins LY) are exactly the image the Rangers need to be molded in.

Skill & speed balanced with physicality and defensive play. Need to be committed to playing on the entire sheet to hoist the Cup.

You're an idiot. He meant popularity. Because lets face it, your franchise is a joke. 3 cups and bankruptcy is what they accomplished in the span of 18 years.
