Doan finalist for Mark Messier award

While listening to kings broadcast (gag me with a spoon), it was mentioned that Shane Doan, **** brown and Callahan are the finalists for the leadership award.

Congrats to Doaner!

Not sure if I'm cheering for Doan to win, or for Brown to lose....

If things follow the playoff model, one of two scenarios will play out:

Brown will knock Doan down, and when Doan confronts him Brown will fall down, Doan will be disqualified, and they will hand deliver the award to Brown.

Doan will approach Brown to congratulate him on being nominated, Brown will fall down, Doan will be disqualified, and they will hand deliver the award to Brown.

If Doan or Brown wins the award, they should have Sean Avery present it to them....and then have Mark Messier pummel Avery.

If ******* Dustin Brown wins a leadership award over Doan I will lose all respect for mankind.

With LA winning the cup, it's a possibility. Messier is smart, though. I trust him.

Doan has done more with less this year than either Callahan or Brown. If Phoenix was in a larger market or a media darling it would be his in a walk, despite LA's cup. However, LA and New York are much flashier and sexier and that counts when the criteria for winning is opinion.

But since we are owned by the league maybe Bettman called Mess and the fix is in.

Or Brown could smash Doan in the face with his drink glass on his way to accept the award. Then later complain that Doan ruined the moment for him by not congratulating him on his win.
