What I want to see next game: take Elias off the PP, bench Zid replace with Larsson, bench one forward and replace with Sykora, someone starting a fight, no more easy rebounds from Brodeur, and Devils actually putting the puck in the net.
Yes, I agree with the math. Although it has happened once. The 1942 Leafs (Yes, THAT Leafs team, LOL) came back from 3-0 down to beat Detroit.
In the finals? Ok, I thought it was unpossible by history's take.
Odds are improving!!!!
I'll take it.
"Devils just trap trap trap trap. Sure it's a modified trap different than LeMaire's but even with two forecheckers they have the defense sitting back with the third guy clogging up the middle of the ice." - explanation of how the Devils still employ the trap
The Devils 29th pick will be "given" alright, to Gary Bettman.
I almost want to see it get back to Game 5, just cause if we win it'll be great but if we lose, I'll be perversely curious to what extent the fans will go to get their pound of flesh on Bettman. It might get to the point where I'd actually be worried about nutjobs throwing stuff at him, or worse.
He made $6 M this year, but I agree, a $1-2 M raise on top of that isn't much, especially when other guys are coming off the cap.

everyone knows parise doesn't have a shot like kovy and can't make plays happen out of nowhere. everyone knows this. the kings defense is swarming the devils at every opportunity, it's going to be tough, especially on a player like parise to get anything going.
I don't want Parise for anything over $7 mill. Hard working elite grinding forward who is easily smothered shouldn't get more than that. Yes he's a great locker room presence but we can sign Salvador back if we really want that.
If Parise is serious about staying and being competitive before the money than it will work out. I am skeptical of the talk. We'll see in under a month.

Relax bro. Roster turnover in the NHL is a very high percentage no doubt. Rookies step up out of nowhere and UFA signing occur. Never liked the Tedenby pick to be honest but I would give him more AHL time before anything else.
