I'll be interested to see if he makes it back. I don't see it being a huge risk to take him just because he can't possibly expect much more than the minimum at his age. At the same time, who says you can't be a good goalie at age 47? If you can stop a puck, you can stop a puck.

In any case, I'm intrigued.

FWIW, he had the best Save% in the KHL two seasons ago and took his Czech team to a Championship the season before. And apparently he's a fitness FREAK which I wouldn't really put so much stock in except that he's a goalie, not a skater who'd have to battle anyone in the corner.

I'm skeptical but not going to dismiss it. I hope we get to see him back with somebody. He was the best goalie that I've ever watched when comparing goalies in their prime. Roy, Brodeur couldn't touch him.

I don't care how fit you are at 47...reflexes and endurance are pretty much shot. It's just how aging goes.
