Vancouver
Luke Schenn - Gives Van a RHS top 4 dman
Nazem Kadri - Can fill in for Kesler, and center 3rd line next season
Carter Ashton - Gives Vancouver a solid wing prospect comparable to Schroeder

Toronto
Roberto Luongo - Get their goalie
Jordan Schroeder - Replaces Kadri as top C prospect
2nd Round Pick - Self Explanatory

Basically Luongo + 2nd for Schenn + Kadri
Ashton for Schroeder

Take out Schroeder and Ashton and I'd do it.

That might be because everyone expects him to go to Toronto. Everywhere else, will be unexpected. And many Leaf fans will offer high fives on Yonge Street.

Schroeder and Ashton are comparable upside wise (IMO)

Schroeder would be stuck behind Kadri on our prospect depth, so we move for another strong winger prospect (Ashton).

Schroeder helps mitigate the loss of Kadri by giving them an NHL ready center prospect.

Luongo's pretty big. We'll throw in a 7th rounder for your youth.

Is there a reason you keep making this proposal? it's like the third time now.

No reason to gie up Schroeder, if there is, then I'm asking for at a minimum Lupul back

Who's better Schroeder or Colborne?

I'd say this is a fair deal that I could easily see happen. I don't care if Schroeder/Ashton are in or out, tbh.

EDIT: Isn't Ashton bigger/more physical rhan Schroeder. If so I'd prefer if they were included, but if not, it's still fair.

After 8000+ posts, what are the pieces that both sides have agreed to?

No. Not giving up Schenn. He had a bad year and if you were looking to trade him it wouldn't be now anyways.

I'm not sure having a big goalie justifies moving 2 big young wingers and a really big young defenceman.

Fair enough, I just figured for the most part these guys would be identified as relatively expendable from a Toronto POV (unlike Gardiner/5th).

No thanks. Ballard is better than Komisarek and has a better cap hit.

What part of you gotta give to get don't you Leafs fans understand, you can't get a goalie for Luongo's caliber for spare parts.

They are pretty average for a freshman getting 3rd line ice time. He started playing on the second line late in the season and PP time. His production was quite average.

Leaf fans, would you give up Gardiner + Colburne if we take on Komi's contract in the deal?

Curious.

Ala,

Luongo
for
Colburne, Gardiner, Komi (huge cap dump)

Not likely. Some Leafs fans seem to think Luongo is a cap dump. A deal will never get done of HF.

It seems to be received fairly well by both fanbases (opposed to the Gardiner/5th/Komisarek+4th proposals).

The reason Schroeder is moved is because Kadri takes his spot as our top center prospect.

Toronto isn't moving Lupul, he was nearly a PPG player last year.

The trade basically works out to Schroeder for Ashton who are extremely comparable prospects in regards to upside. Its just Ashton is a bigger winger.
