Superstitious

Hey guys ever since the playoffs started I have been a very superstitious person. Every game I must wear the exact same cloths my Kovalchuk shirt and my red and black pj's lolol . I also have to watch the game in my basement. I must say so far they won every time I did this and each time I wasnt able to they lost.

I was just thinking does anyone else have superstitious like me for the playoffs?

Well, I wore my Kovalchuk jersey for round 1, and then for game 1 against the Flyers. After they lost game 1, I switched to my Elias jersey, and, well.

We went in to the playoffs on a winning streak, so I wore the same jersey I had been wearing, but had washed my jeans I wore to games. We lost Game 3.

I came home, washed everything, and have been sporting my Parise jersey since Game 4 against the Panthers. My jeans, the shirt I wear, the sweatshirt and the jersey have not been washed since Game 4 against the Panthers. It may be gross, but whatever, it's my superstition and it's worked before.

My father has been eating some form of chicken and potatoes for our home games or if he's on the road traveling for business. I've had to eat some form of potato with dinner for home games.

I have to blow dry my hair completely on game days and wear it down for at least have the day before I put it in a ponytail...

I think that's it for now...it's creepy!

my outfit is 8-0.

levis, red tshirt, red, black, white striped underwear, zajac jersey

there were some times in round 1 i tried to wear just parts of it, and that didn't work.

in round two i changed it up for game 1, different tshirt, different red white and black underwear. didn't work.

i've washed everything (except the jersey) and that hasn't mattered. i just have to be wearing all of it. not even all day. i've come home from work and changed.

I have a superstition that not being superstitious usually results in wins.

I wore my Kovalchuk jersey game 1 against florida. We won. I wore it again, we lost. Switched to my Elias jersey, we won. Wore it again, we lost. Switched to my Brodeur jersey, we won. Wore it again, we lost. Switched back to Kovy, we won. Switched to Elias, we won.

Round 2, wore the Elias jersey, we lost. Switched to Brodeur, we won. Kovy, won. Elias, won. Brodeur, won.

Needless to say, I will be rotating jerseys throughout the rest of the playoffs.

I am also sporting a monster playoff beard (updated my beardathon pic just now.. everyone vote and donate!!!) and people at work are getting pumped about it. One Ranger fan at my work said he'd be ok if the Rangers lost to the Devils so he could see my playoff beard in stanley cup mode. ...yeah. it's getting ridiculous.

I was way more superstitious when I was younger. Didn't change my boxers for like a week straight. Relax, I was about 9 or 10 years old.

During Playoffs, each game I watched live, we lost.
Each game I tried to sleep through, when I woke up and turned game on, we were up and got scored on within minutes. Do I need to say that I would turn it off immediately and returned to bed. Waited till game is over (trying to sleep LOL). Check result - victory
I even managed to sleep through two complete games ... WINS

Awesome - I'll end up paying for full GameCenter package and will be watching whole playoffs on Vault replays
Well, it's playoffs ... you gotta pay the price

On Facebook I had Kovy celebrating a goal scored as my profile picture, but RIGHT before we went to OT in game six I changed it to my three old niece - had a hunch she would bring me luck - and Zajac scored the game winner and I haven't changed it yet.

parise jersey for round 1 game 3, switched to retro lemuix jersey, wore it at home while watching the first flyers game lost, switched to home elias ever since.

and for game 2 of the flyers series i was watching the game at a bar , didn't have my jersey on and at the begging of the 3rd i put it on and then Larsson scored. and have been wearing it ever since.

and for game 7 vs. florida id been wearing my parise jersey but switched to my retro for OT.

I wear the same belt every game day, eat the same lunch, take a shower during the 2nd intermission and leave my devils hat sitting on top of the chair next to my TV. That's about all I can think of right now, Im sure there are some other things I do subconciously though.

Larsson jersey is 4-1 when I wear it to work. Marty jersey is 0-1. When I'm home I just wear whatever (I work nights so I wear a jersey to work on game nights). Haven't tried any other jerseys yet.

Claude Lemieux Jersey is 4-0 switched to it after game 3 loss in round 1. Playoff beard and eating the same sandwich for breakfest on game days. Went to same sports bar for both series clinchers on the road.I turned my jersey inside out for both home overtime wins. Yeah Im all in with the superstitious.

For me, on road games, I've brought my Parise jersey, the towel from Game 3 and my gym clothes and gone to the gym right after. As soon as I get out, drape the Parise jersey on and head home for the game.

I'll do the same for home games if it's the weekend with my Salvador jersey, which has been going strong from Game 4 onward. If I'm actually going to the game, I just head straight there after work.

I'm crazy, haha.

I am not allowed to talk about it but hoping that washing my jeans and shirt didn't jinx anything.

RG and some of my other fellow degenerates will like this...

So before game 6, round 1... my dad and I were at Hell's Kitchen. We decided "well, might as well tie one on. This might be our last chance of the season." So, our superstition is getting nice and drunk before each game.

I know that's what most people do here, but not my dad (not anymore at least). It's been REALLY rough doing this, with my new job starting the exact same week of the playoffs. But I am a champion, I work hard and I play hard simpsonssmeltingplantdancescene.jpg

I have a list of things I CAN do:
-Make quesadillas.
-Eat a whole pizza.
-Use the bathroom during intermissions.
-Drink beer.
-"Make love".
-Use the computer during intermissions.

I have a list of things that I CAN'T do:
-Order pizza by the slice and eat it.
-Drink liquor.
-Smoke or use the bathroom during play.
-Sit in my lazy boy chair; only on one of my couches.
-No sweaters, no jerseys. Only shirts/hoodies.
-No Doritos.

I have a list of things I MUST do:
-Cigarette every intermission.
-Bathroom only during intermission.
-Rally towel from Florida series hanging in my kitchen. It is being held there by a Ty Beanie Baby cat my ex bought for me after my real cat died. His name is Glen Jr. (My name is Glen).
-Skip all in-between-periods analysis.
-Not make fun of other team on social media until game is over.
