I get what you're saying but first of all, you can't win two or three or four if you don't win the first one, so let's just win tonight and then we'll see what happens in Game 5. Two, even someone else hoisting the Cup would be a hundred times less painful than seeing that pos Lundqvist take a victory lap around our arena after a first-round series where they bullied us, or seeing the Devils quit against the Flyers or choke against the Hurricanes. I mean, we've HAD good moments at home this year in the postseason at least, including probably one of our two best non-Cup moments ever.

Plus from a vindictive point of view, losing at home does give the fans a chance to voice their displeasure at Bettman. I'd be worried some people would take it farther than that even.

You're right. Beating the Rangers, AND Flyers this playoffs is some big comfort if we can't win the Cup. It wouldn't be The Rock's worst playoff moment. Lundqvist's victory lap, and the Rangers getting cheered out of the building off the ice was perhaps the worst. The end of the Carolina game 7 was without a doubt the worst as far as on ice playing moments go.

Anyone think the fans can get a Bettman sucks chant going? Or will they just boo him while he's talking? A Bettman sucks chant would be as cool as the Rangers suck chants going on this year in our building.

The Kings have all the preassure tonight. I'm sure that they would like to win it at home in front of their fans instead of having to board a plane and travel 3,000 miles.

Let's make them have to travel 3,000 miles!

If I'm Larsson I feel like I got slapped in the face. Pete really screwed up here. I would be extremely angry if I were Larsson. Hope it motivates him and not alienates him...

Why would it alienate him? He's a 19 year old rookie. He should be happy just to get this experience in his 1st year, it's not very year you go to the SCF.

I'm liking him in the lineup. It's good to see some fresh bodies.

The lineup changes are too little too late, he had no business not changing them last game. I really don't want it to end, but I can't bear to watch tonight, it will be 10 before I get home anyways. I had such high hopes for this team, one more for Marty, patty, and sykora together. Sigh. Those watching, enjoy, and thanks again for the hospitality. Devils fans are some of the greatest, I'll be back next year (and hopefully later tonight).

So I'm pretty happy with 2 out of 3.

I'm going with the assumption that Parise and Kovalchuk will be joined at the hip, but if DeBoer would separate them, I'd be overjoyed.

So....while on the B.Q.E. this afternoon driving back from brooklyn, I found myself daydreaming and contemplating the position we find ourselves in and if there is any way out of it. For whatever reason, I randomly turn to my left and and bamn, straight in my face is a billboard with "Keep the faith" written on it. I couldn't tell you how many time I must have passed this thing in the past and just never noticed it. But today, without even paying attention to it, I just happened to look that way as I was passing by.

Maybe it won't mean a thing in the end but it was pretty weird how that just came about today. I don't know, I just find myself thinking that you never can say never. I really believe that confidence is what the Devils need more than anything right now and if they can just get one game, well you never know.

This isn't like Detroit who strolled along to the 95 Final only to get swept. The Devils worked way too hard and overcame way too much adversity to get to this point and not win a single game. They deserve better and if any team can pull off a miracle like this, it's definitely this one.
