Jagr wants to re-sign with Flyers (one-year contract)

Quote:
The chances of Jaromir Jagr playing a second season in Philadelphia appear to be growing stronger.

CSNPhilly.com's Tim Panaccio reported Wednesday that Jagr would like to return to the Flyers in 2012-13 and that the two sides are working on another one-year deal. Jagr, 40, had 19 goals and 35 assists in 73 regular-season games before going 1-7-8 in 11 postseason contests.
Not surprising. I hope he's re-signed.

Yep im expecting Jagr to play 1 more season in Philly. He seemed to enjoy his time there. He said it was the best season ever in the NHL for him (in terms of how fun it was to come to the rink every day).

He also said he has to adjust his game for today's NHL and believes he'll be better next year. Personally i believe he can do just that if he can stay healthy. Its a gamble but it cant hurt to resign him?

How long before he pulls the rug out from under them and tries to start another bidding war for himself?

I'd say that this seems very logical.

It seems as if the two sides are close. Also, the article says the same about Voracek. They're close on a deal for him as well. He will be an RFA.

Well why wouldn't he want to play another year with them? He certainly showed he's still got quite a bit left in the tank and he seems to like it there.

I'd love to see Jagr play 2 more seasons! Him, Pronger, Brodeur and Selanne are the only remnants of the mid 90s era, it is quite scary.

I figured he would re-sign. Seemed to rejuvenate his love for the game. A lot of interviews came across where he said he loved the locker room.

Pretty much everybody in Detroit said the same about Lidstrom.

The question is more like "How long before someone makes such stupid comment."

Didn't take that long apparently

Not surprised which is fine with me since he won't be coming to Montreal then.
