Yes. Specialized webstores, Amazon, eBay etc. sell Live Gold cards at much cheaper prices (just making sure no one pays the retail price).

I'd imagine it would be just like Netflix, etc. It's just an outlet to access your account.

App itself is free but will require a subscription.

But you cannot access the gamecenter thorugh the viaplay app on PS3 or Xbox. The gamecenter is only accessible on computer. Only the games shown on viaplay are watchable on all devices.

I hope viaplay will fix this and make the gamecenter accessible on all devices.

Fixed. I think the Viaplay app has some sort of "flash player" in the app but when you want to go to gamecenter through Viaplay then you are in Gamecenter's page... nothing to do with Viaplay... for example I tried to watch MLB.tv through xbox's explorer but it doesn't work... needs flash player which you can't install to xbox. Microsoft is the reason.

Not gonna happen as long as Viasat (Viaplay) owns the NHL rights in Nordic region.

But I guess you could make US/etc. profile to get all these cool apps but then you would also need another gold membership?

Gamecenter being added to XBL huh?

My need for any sort of television subscription is quickly evaporating.

CBC is also releasing a Hockey Night in Canada app for Xbox Live.

NHL plus Xbox smartglass is going to be amazing.

Well since you automatically get 3 extra one month Golds with each Xbox, I created an account located in Sweden so that I was able to download the Youtube app. It works just fine on my regular account. Some apps check for IP though.

It should, but I searched again last night for the app...not there yet. Will keep checking. It should be there before the first game (or they are advertising GCL as working w/XBOX when really there's no app soooo....?)

Agreed. I cut the (cable tv) cord a year ago. Never better. Between this kinda stuff and over the air HD, still too much to watch.

If the 360 and PS3 supported Flash there would be no reason at all for cable/satellite as you could just watch anything you wanted directly from the network websites (abc, nbc, cbs, etc). Hell I'd even cancel my almost worthless Hulu+ account.

Isn't the first month free every season?

Not to stray off topic, but you can watch networks over the air for free as it is.

Ok, so it will be NHL Gamecenter Live. I have to ask, can you watch replays of games of this season with this subscription? Because my work schedule varies, and I don't mind watching a replay of the Coyotes if I can't watch them live. I just want to make sure it's like MLB.TV, and I can replay a game of this current season whenever I want to. I know most Coyotes games, if not all will be blacked out for me since I live in their market, but I'd still like to watch the full game of the games I miss from being at the game or on tv. Can anyone confirm this?

Edit - The app is out. You have to go to the Apps page and search for NHL. Cluelessly Xbox hasn't featured the app for download yet.
