I'm reading the hunger games and I'm 200 pages into the second book and it's not nearly as good as the first so far.

No spoilers please. I've been told the books were good, but I need to finish DoD before I start reading them.

Don't worry I would never spoil.

I suggest not watching the movie first though... I watched the movie then decided to read the book. Wish I had waited.

never read any of it nor did I see the movie. Friends have told me if you read the book the see the movie, you'll be mad. I might give the movie a chance, but as far as reading goes, if it's not on HF , I ain't reading it

Really? I love books, escape reality and experience the characters!

Also the only medium without advertising.

THIS! Have you read The Wheel of Time series. Easily my favorite and I would highly recommend it.

Just an amazing series. The first hundred or so pages of the first book are a bit dull, but it only gets better. Don't give up on them.

Yep. Totally worth reading them. I have about half a dozen, the rest I borrowed from a friend, but I'd be happy to lend them to you.

You'll be thanking me afterwards. Robert Jordan is able to create a real sense of culture in the books. It's like Lord of the Rings, but more magic, and the characters are much more developed. It;s one of those series where tons of books is a good thing. You're left wanting more.

After I finish the hunger games, I'll give the first book a try. Trusting you Saab

I'm gonna hate you if I hate it. And I'm really gonna hate you if I love it
