The food stands are starting to get taken over by little old ladies like at evil meadowlands or you have in HS. I had this one lady tell another lady don't help me I like to do it myself last night. lol Does anyone else get cold food (happen twice already to me)?

Did they tell us what that is because I never got that one. Maybe you need to send me a PM too. lol

I was just browsing the STH account manager and noticed that the "2013 STH Presale" link is still active (50% off single game ticket prices). They also added "New Jersey Devils Dream Day Camp" links for February 18th and April 10th.

We were able to use the f & b cards in the acella club resturant a couple times last year. Hope to go again this year. The food was great.

I've found that the food stands are incredibly slow, especially if you order chicken fingers/fries. I left with 3 minutes left in the 1st period and didn't make it back to my seat until halfway through the intermission. Also, they had issues with my F&B card and had to manually plug the number in. So yeah, that still needs some work.

An interesting story (that really shouldn't be a story because of uninformed decisions) about a Devils STH who wanted his ST's revoked for this season but wanted to keep them for next season after he agreed to receive a refund for the cancelled games and the documents he signed stated the tickets were not revocable

What should really be the story is how Lou stepped in and handled the situation

http://www.nj.com/business/index.ssf...bor_pains.html

Then in the comments section, somebody posted their own stories about their encounters with Lou over the years and it gets even better

Quote:
“I need you to be patient,” he said. “We’ve got a great new coach coming in — and I think what you’ll see in goal is something you’ll like, too. And I assure you, it won’t be just a round we’ll be winning — it’ll be championships.”

A few months later, the Devils got to the Eastern Conference Finals — and were one goal away from the Finals. And one year away from Cup 1 of 3.
http://www.njdevsblog.com/2013/01/th...-1986-lou.html

We all know how great of an image Lou has built for himself and the team, but we often just take it for granted and it's stories like these that we don't always here that are just awesome stuff about how Lou does business - I can even add in one of my own; a good family friend works for the team dentist and every year Lou personally sends hand written Christmas cards to each of the employees at the office

I'd love it if somebody wrote a biography about Lou because he is exactly what each sports manager or administrator aspires to be

On the article: The STH is a complete idiot and, as someone in the NJDevs discussion on this pointed out, proof that the customer is not always right and simply can't just stomp their feet demanding they get what they want

On Lou: We absolutely take it for granted how great this guy is.. He needs a damn statue in Championship Plaza and I'm mad that he's too humble to allow us to properly honor him that much

I see famous people relatively regularly because of where I live and I couldn't care less. It doesn't faze me in the least bit; ditto for any professional athletes including New Jersey Devils hockey players. I really couldn't care less and dont view them as a big deal either, just normal people. Yet for some reason, Lou Lamoriello is the only person I've met in person that made me feel like a giddy schoolgirl meeting Justin Bieber.

Uh oh looks like someone caught the Lou-flu (doesn't quite ring as well as Bieber-fever)

When they had the season ticket holder preview day before the rock opened, my son asked our ticket rep if he could see the locker room (apparently his mother had put it in his head that he would be able to). He was 6 at the time and when he was told that he couldn't he started crying (his heart was set on going in). Lou and Jeff Vanderbeek were walking by and spotted my son and they both stopped and talked with him and calmed him down even to the point where Lou said it was his rule so it was his fault, I was very impressed. I wrote a letter thanking them and saying how classy it was for them to do that. A few weeks later a box arrived from the Devils with hats a media guide a couple pucks and some other things with a letter to my son from Lou.

Something I will never forget.

Prudential Center

Hello isles fan coming in peace

I am thinking about scoring some tickets for the game Thursday at the pridential center when you guys take on my islanders. I found seats in 229 row 2, how high are the 200's? Should I move down to the 100's and go closer to behind the net because I don't wanna spend more than 30 a seat. How high are the 200's in comparison to the 300's in the colesium? Thanks for the help because I could really use some

Never been to the Colosseum so can't compare but I find the viewing angles to be pretty good up in the 200s.

Certainly high up but they built the place beautifully so the angle you sit at makes the viewing angle great.

If you look at the Discount thread above, there are a few deals for that game that are pretty cheap.

I'd personally go with the row 1s because I find those to be an awesome experience. But if you don't want to spend the extra money, last row in the house for $10-15 bucks is a sick deal.

Yeah the 229 row 2 seemed like a nice seat for $29 and I figured I'd get a cheaper seat since I live in Long Island so i got to factor in gas money thanks for the help tho man

I know this has nothing to do with the thread, but why do people keep saying that they're coming "in peace"? This isn't a religion, you're a fan of a different hockey club, its not a big deal.

Maybe it is about religion... maybe he's a Buddhist and goes everywhere in peace? Or maybe he's an alien like that dude with a special light in his stomach. Like ET. And he wants everyone to phone home together.

How was it a poor job by The Ledger? The writer basically called out the fan and said the Devils were simply following their policy, but still did their best to appease him.

Maybe I got a different impression from the article than the rest of you, but to me, the Devils came off as the good guys and the fan came off as an idiot.

FYI, I'm pretty sure Row 2 is the first row in the 200s except right next to the stairs where theres only like 4 seats, so 30 bucks for front row up there is pretty good, plus, thats center ice if I remember correctly.

229 is one of the best views of the whole ice. It's the first section I try to get when buying tickets. Row 2 is actually the front row of that secton so that's a pretty solid location.
