The UFA goalies sans Broduer are laughably bad.

I would put Garrison at #2 behind Suter in the top-defensemen category, but other than that it's a pretty good list.

These goalies are brutal.

The guy's 28 and played 2 NHL seasons after being a fringe NHLer. I'm just not sold on him, and I think alot of posters will be shocked how few NHL GMs will be come July 1.

Jay McClement is easily the top UFA Defense/PK specialist. Guy is an absolute beast defensivly and awesome on the PK. Also a great Faceoff man.

I love McClement and hope the Caps sign him, but how is he "easily" better than Kelly, Stoll, Halpern, etc.?

That's what all those players are good at. Gaustad is a top 10 faceoff guy annually and a PK beast. They're all pretty good role players, not a ton to differentiate them from one another, other than a guy like Stoll having 1 50-point season.

Good list!!!! I think Doan and Whitney should be include in your list and Moen is one of the best on PK in the league.

Would be nice if TML could pick up Gaustad, wouldn't mind Moen either, but I guess he's already told Montreal he wants to come back. Also would love to see Doan as well but he's gonna finish his career in PHX.

The UFA crop isn't too bad after looking at some of the lists in here. Definitely some talented wingers on the board (even though some may re-sign with their respective teams). The goalies in the free agent market are downright awful, but that's too be expected. I'm frankly excited to see what happens July 1st and on draft day with many of these free agents still on board and the whole Luongo/Schneider situation.

Bob Mackenzie said that he'll be the 3rd most sought after FA after Suter & Parise come July 1. That's good enough for me.

Just because every team will want a young prospect doesn't make him a top UFA. There are a lot of better players than him available right now. His potential is high so every team will make a bid.
