Pretty pointless to discuss, our team will likely look a lot different in October compared to now.

10 bucks on the habs.

Not sure why they release the odds so early.

Those are pretty good odds, that says no playoffs to me.Seth Jones or Nathan MacKinnon are pretty good odds too probably about the same 60-1.

So they put out odds before any of the 30 NHL teams make changes to their roster?

Interesting.

Yeah, it is kinda weird timing. It makes the Kings get an artificial boost as defending champions, but doesn't factor in how every other team will draft/sign/adapt in response in the off season... or even what the Kings will be able to do likewise, for that matter. "Interesting" is a kind word, lol. Tempting to throw down on Edmonton or Montreal at those odds, lol.

That doesn't mean they're favoured, every Canadian team but the Oilers have better odds compared to them.

Thanks. It's very tempting to put a bit on the Habs

Yeah, really confusing. Your title is telling me one thing and all the common sense in the world is telling me another

60 to 1?

If I was a betting man I would put 100$ on my Canadiens: (1) 2011-12 was full of drama and injuries and (2) I expect them to be very aggressive (they have the money and cap space) on the UFA market.

This team would look completely different with an experienced and tougher D squad imo.

this is why putting a few bucks on each team now would pay off

Here you go!

If I'm still off with my wording, mods please correct it for me.

I think putting them on the same level as the Oilers is a bit silly, but I'm not envisioning the Habs being able to recoup everything they lost last year, so I don't think they're likely to be a contender anyway.

May as well toss 20 bucks on them. We have a way better chance than 60: 1 at winning the cup let's be reality.

What did they calculate our odds as for drafting Seth Jones?

I'd definitely put 20 bucks.

Leafs are 35:1 while Ottawa are 40:1? Thats crazy, Ottawa imho has much better chances of winning. Leafs odds are high only because of their rabid fans. No way they win.
