Lol I was surprised they didnt demand Drouin or Ciampini be in the deal considering the 1st rounders were all going to be late picks..

Sorry about the error on the quantity of picks!!
Turbide will have a hard time making the team this year. They will intergrate a Euro fwd and their 1st rounder (Paquin -boudreau) in the line up. And i believe Ranger is ahead of him also in terms of depth chart.

Nonetheless, i stand corrected on the 3 first round picks and not 2 as i indicated!

Who needs what ?
Gatineau is not the favorite.
However, with the addition of an impact European forward, a top 2 defenceman, a solid veteran who can play 4th or 5th defenceman (who may even turn out to be Robby Klein), add 1 or 2 Ontario-born players into the mix, and I really like their chances.

Dubé-Euro-Hyka
Poirier-Régimbald-Burke
Soumakis-Chapman-Pelletier
Kennedy-Courtemanche-Kielly
Bohémier-Léveillé

Acquisition-Bourret
Veteran (or Klein)-Poulin
Beauregard-Cortese
Boily-Carrier

Steeves
Michaud

If Mallet plays with Vancouver's AHL team than Rimouski will drop a little.

I doubt Grigorenko makes Buffalo out of camp so he should be back with the Remparts.

He will be back with the Remparts , without a doubt. Buffalo have depth up the middle and on the right wing.. Patrick Roy must have been happy to see him go there..

They shipped out Gausted, how do they have "depth"?

They have a top 6 and Grigoisnt playing in the bottom6. Derek Roy, Tyler Ennis , Brad Boyes, Luke Adam ,Jochen Hecht, Cody Hodgeson, Matt Ellis , Szczechura all played Center for the Sabres ..

I see what you're saying, but when you say "depth" I feel you're implying that you have players who can also fill those roles when there is an injury. With that being the case its very unlikely to have all six of those players in your line up all year. Grigs could potentially get some time on the second line. He just needs to improve his defensive game for those times on the third line.

All my point was is that Grigs will be in Quebec next season. Roy, Boyes, Hodgson, Ennis and maybe even Adam are all ahead of him right now, imo.

Looks like Rimouski will loose Mallet to the Moose..

http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=399099

There's a U.S. college theme here, too; while Mallet is projected to play in the AHL next season, Hutton is going to Maine, Myron is off to Boston University and Beattie will attend Yale. Beattie said education has always been important to his family but, "This is a new step."

I still wouldn't put the Wildcats at #2 I don't think. All depends on Grigs but if he's back then I'd give the edge to Quebec... And the Moose have the deepest offense still as of now.

Their 2nd line is very scary, And I see them as 7 fowards deep. I should copy and paste the lineups from the other thread to compare.
Halifax has a deep offence but after Fournier, Mackinnon, Frk, Drouin it tails off, surely I'm forgetting someone... Not Ciampini...

Halifax is almost 4 lines deep if Eichel reports. Their weak link to me is in goal, because if Fucale suffers the sophomore jinx, they don't have anyone to backstop this team.

Drouin MacKinnon Fournier
Ciampini Boudreau Frk
Ashley Andrews Ryan
Falkenham ? Eichel

Ciampini isn't that great... Boudreau IDK... That 3rd is killer, I gotta switch it up.

Halifax has a better offence. They are deeper. But I still see the Cats as #1.

Hard to beat Halifax's first and third lines at this moment, what with the uncertainty in Bathurst.... And well, I would rather Drouin - Nate, Frk/Fournier than Moncton with the Saulniers... That's just me.

It's close, IMO as a Drouin homer it's tough, but the exp of the Moncton line puts them slighty over... I agree with you on the 3rd line though, Halifax doesn't have a 2nd line though compared to Monctons 2nd line.

Ummmm what.

I know I'm a Halifax fan in all, and all this is is speculation (So maybe I need to calm down a bit ) but you'll find very few people who have Halifax outside the top 2 and below Gatineau lol.

Halifax
BLB
Moncton
Quebec (Grigs dependent)
Gatineau...

Maybe there'll be some heated discussion on this board afterall fun

IMO, after recetn changes, the top 5 will be:

1. Halifax
2. Quebec
3. Moncton
4. Blainville-Boisriand
5. Gatineau

Halifax has a great forward group. Their 1st and 3rd lines are arguably the best in the league. They could use a top pairing defenceman. I have Quebec at #2 because ,imo with 95 percent certainty, Grigo will be back. They have a solid all around team. Moncton obviously rounded out their top 6 with the Euro draft. Barbashev and Jaskin forms their second line. Barbashev will put up great numbers for a 17- year old rookie and I like the 2nd pick of Jaskin. Im glad we picked up a 19- year old thats played against men for the past 2 seasons. Moncton also has a solid D but could use a top pairing QB. Dubeau is a solid #1. Blainville at #4 because they need a star forward. Their D is solid but they too can use a top-4. Gatineau added some good players at the draft. Most importantly acquiring Bathursts#1 goalie. That filled their void in net , putting them ahead of teams like Baie-Comeau, Victo and Bathurst. This is my rankings of the teams , the way they stand now. Obviously teams make moves , but their team as they stand.

i really doubt about Gillies.

K.Roy.... maybe but i doubt too.

Remparts are in discussions with a long prospects and agents list.

Cangelosi, Kurker, Peca, Sommerby, Gralcyek, Duane.

i dont know who will report to Remparts camp but they have very good chances to get somes ones...

if Grigorenko back to LHJMQ and Quebec get some help from USA, im pretty sure they will be no.1 this years for President and Memorial Cup.

Duclair - Grigorenko - Kucherov....

can you imagine it vs average defence on the LHJMQ...
