All-star snub, Reddick, send the A's home a winner.

43-43, 2.5 games behind the sinking O's for a WC spot.

Looks like meaningful baseball in the 2nd half.

ESPN actually got one right. Their reasoning behind Cain over Dickey was that having a knuckleballer pitch to a guy who has never caught a knuckleballer before do so in an all-star game could be high pressure that could cost the team the game.

This. Suck it, Sandy.

It also probly didn't hurt Cain that Buster is starting as well. A nice little story for the writers/commentators to talk about, having the battery that threw a perfecto not to long ago start the game.

Once again, a Ron Washington managed team lays an egg in an important game.

Too many players on the AL team have no business there. Ian Kinsler, really? Horrible homerism by the skipper.

Damn those San Francisco fans for stuffing the ballots. Those Giants players really made the game boring.

I didn't think Kinsler was a bad choice. Also, the players vote too, so the players could have voted him in.

Still, what a boring game. That was the first ASG I watched in awhile.

And I wonder how Royals fans felt seeing Melky win MVP for the NL. They could have had him, but nope, they wanted Jonathan Sanchez.

Great news, the A's release Brian Fuentes. He has lost this team 3 games on his own by giving up walk off hr's. Good riddance.

Was awesome to see Cook make the 3 batters he faced look silly.

Was pissed to see Melky win the MVP. Only because I had a sneaking suspicion he would have a great game back in KC and I pussed out on laying down $100 for him to win MVP. 15-1 odds

I am so glad Fuentes is gone. Best news I could have heard about the A's. Apparently it wasn't Geren's fault he sucked by pitching him "too much"... He just sucked period. What a waste of big money on that guy.

Does Jarret Jack really have a place on this team though? He would definitely be an upgrade over Robinson, but I wouldn't be surprised to see the Warriors move him later this offseason.

I was a big fan of their picks this draft, and all the moves they are trying to make appear to be positive. I'm very excited for the future of this franchise.

Absolutely. A solid backup PG for Steph was a vital move they had to make.

Jack >>>>>>>> Robinson. No way they trade him. He plays hard, plays DEFENSE, and way better offensively than Nate. Averaged nearly 16 and 7 filling in for Gordon last year. With Curry's ankle history this is a fantastic move. And even if Curry stays healthy, you don't lose a whole lot when Jack spells his minutes.

Angels and Rockies fans told us about how much he sucked when the A's signed him. I wanted to think it was sour grapes, but unfortunately, they were right.

Melvin has to be one of the leading candidates for AL coach of the year. This team is just so much fun to watch right now. They pitch great, they field well, and their line-up is finally healthy, and it shows.

Beane said they have money set aside to make a deal if they're in contention, I wouldn't mind seeing them look for an upgrade at SS and use Pennington as a utility/defensive replacement.
