Giants need a right-handed bat in the OF and an arm in the bullpen even without upgrading short. They shouldn't not address those if available just because they may not find an upgrade at short. If they get the other two, they can live with Crapford at short.

June 1: 22-30, 4th AL West, 1-9 last 10, when does fire sale start?

July 24: 52-44, 2nd AL West (1st WC), 9-1 last 10, in the mix for HanRam, Upton, Headley

Man, if I had a nickel for every time Lincecum went from 0-2 to 3-2...

Edit: Damn, and now three bloop hits in the same inning. That's the kind of year it's been for Timmy.

Ugh. Tim started out tight butthole today. But he's back to loose butthole again.

Even worse is that it's at home. Against the Padres.

Lincecum did us such a favor by not signing long-term.

He was mowing people down with his fastball for the first three innings, then all of a sudden he decides to start throwing a bunch of breaking balls. I don't get it.

Failed adjustments. Padres saw him the first time through the lineup and then figured him out. Same ol' story.

I get that part, but there was no need to make the adjustments in the first place.

HanRam and Upton already taken care of. Headley is not that exciting.

Dodgers got a steal for HanRam.

Good thing Tim Alderson never amounted to anything, otherwise we'd all be bemoaning the Sanchez trade too (although in fairness to Sanchez we don't win the WS in 2012 without him).

As of today, the A's have a 52.6% chance of making the playoffs. Take that fwiw.

Can't believe we're up 10-0 at the top of the 5th. Great time to be an A's fan.
