ehhh...over six seasons, he's started about half a season's worth of games at third. I'd rather keep Arias in the lineup over Crawford. Both are hitting about the same but Arias is more comfortable now at third than either Crawford or Scutaro or Theriot would be at third.

Escobar isn't a cancer, he's just super-emotional. When he's happy and things are going well, he starts adding that "cuban flare" and smiling and looking like he's having fun. When he's struggling though he gets sullen and pouty. He just doesn't know how to internalize his emotions and set them aside when it's time to play. I can see how his tendency to sulk could make it look like he's a cancer though.

He also is somewhat isolated because he doesn't speak much english, and he doesn't seem to hang out a lot with the Jays' other Latin American players (Bautista, Encarnacion, Vizquel, Henderson Alvarez, Luis Perez)

He also has struggled to hit this year, to the point where he's almost a guaranteed ground ball out when there's someone on base. He's still pretty solid defensively though. Problem in Toronto is that we have a shortstop in the system who's even better than him defensively and even though his hitting is a question mark, he can't be a whole lot worse than Escobar has been this year.

The inning should have ended with Hanley in the on deck circle. Such BS.

If Hanley doesn't get drilled tommorow after that display rounding the bases I'll eat crow.

That display that Hanley pulled is going to be the first of many, one of the most unlikeable players in baseball. Everyone loves the trade right now, but I can't wait for a year or two from now when he's making $15 mil, still hitting .250, and hated by most of his teammates and coaches.

A Barry Zito fastball to the numbers will sure teach him!

In all seriousness, the Giants, and you, should worry about the games and not the other stuff. Hell, Melky Cabrera spent an entire weekend going out of his way to be a dick in Atlanta.

In the end, nothing really matters besides W's and L's.

A's and Giants both have identical 55-45 records. FWIW, The A's Pythagorean record going into today matched their record at 54-45. The Giants was 52-47, which will go down by tomorrow.

What a great goal by Lenhart. Down a man, may I add. 8th minute of stoppage? Are you kidding?

That ref was a complete tool with Gordon and Wondo.

That Lenhart goal was epic . They always find a way. I picked him to score too in stoppage. Total goon of a ref too . Great to get a point with Chicago's goalie playing like an absolute wall out there.

Haven't been that stoked about a goal in awhile.

I've seen the Giants rumored to be after League, Broxton (god no), Victorino, Pence and Scott Hairston.

Victorino and League please.

Done. The only way I'd trade Belt to Seattle is in a package for King Felix.

I think you are overvaluing Belt...just a little.

Not at all, there is just nothing else on the Mariners I'd want to acquire if it costs us Belt. Ackley/Montero maybe but other then that they don't have a whole lot I'd be interested in.

Not David Eckstein...

Giants have a deal ready for ownership approval for Hunter Pence.

Would be an exciting move, young-ish albeit a bit expensive next year 10 mil iirc. Will wait to see if owners approve and if they do, the return.
