I agree. Most of his homeruns i just figure are going to be warning track fly outs.

It really takes a 2nd or 3rd look to see the extension he gets with his arms.

Someone was comparing Trout to Chipper and they said Chipper won ROTY and MVP. ESPN stats + my laziness = bad information.

Got it...and I don't think Chipper won ROTY. Did win one MVP through.

There is a reason I don't watch ESPN voluntarily anymore.

Awesome performance by the A's last night. They have quite a Jekyll and Hyde thing going on with their offense. It is amazing how different this team is with Cespedes in the lineup.

Fortunately Colon has been outstanding this year in big games. Great outing to stop a 3 game skid. The A's really need to step up and take 2/3 tonight from the halos. At least today's game is televised so I can record it and watch Straily pitch.

Came in a close 2nd to Hideo Nomo. He did, however, get voted by Sporting News as ROY on their publication.

Hmm I swear I posted this earlier but...

Awesome win by the A's last night. Showed a lot of character to win that series against the Angels. One thing is clear. This team needs a closer. I thought they were gonna give it up last night.

In other A's news, 2 years ago Torii Hunter promised A's fans in the right field bleachers that he would buy them all Popeye's chicken. Yesterday he delivered

Playoffs or not this has been one of the most fun seasons of baseball I have watched in a while. It's awesome to be relevant again!

Barring a meltdown, R.A. Dickey's got it in the bag. Great story (not that Vogelsong's isn't), pitches for the Mets, great win-loss record, got "snubbed" by not being named the starter at the All-Star game, etc.

With all of the attention that Cain and Lincecum get, Vogelsong has quietly been our best pitcher this season. It's pretty amazing. C'mon SF, pleeeeeeease get into the playoffs and don't let a year with this pitching staff go to waste.

Lenhart is amazing. Holy **** what a finish. I love rooting for this guy and glad he's on the Quakes.

Lenny and Wando are 2 amazing players to root for. This team never says die. I hope the Sharks are watching because the Quakes are destined for the MLS cup I would hate to play these guys!

Something out of a movie all the time. Goonies!!

I went to tonights Quakes game, first I've been to in years. That was awesome! We were in the corner right in line with the net on that last goal, talk about amazing. I need to try to get to some more games, I wish they played a few more at Stanford (maybe playoff games?) so it'd be easier for me to get to.

Wish they could get some more attention. They're just . . . something else this year. Scoring machines. Wondo, Lenhart, Gordon, scoring machines. Team has 47 goals already! Ridiculous!

The best part about the win is that whenever the Quakes play Seattle in San Jose, there a ton of Sounder fans that show up and take over a section. Oh, to ruin their night. Glorious.

What an unbelieveable season for the Quakes. It's been the most exciting campaign for any sports team in the bay area in years. I went to every home game last year and they could barely draw 4,000 people. Now they are selling out on the regular. Can't wait until the new stadium is built.

Not to spoil the mood but they did average alost three times that last year, which is more than capacity of Buck Shaw.

His ba is up to .260 now, pretty respectable for a guy who couldn't hit a beach ball off a tee a few weeks ago.

I spent my college years in the Seattle area, and I too love tasting their tears even though my malice spawns from the baseball rivalry. They have some of the most underrated fans when it comes to passion. You should have heard them after the Seahawks Steelers Super Bowl fiasco
