What about a deal involving Bouwmeester for Nino, maybe a small other piece being added like a 2nd? I really think that is a guy that Feaster would have interest in.

Getting another winger at this point while moving a top 2 defenseman goes agaisnt the win now mode we have if it was Jbo+ for Nino+ Hamonic then it would make sense atleast for us.

Change hamonic for de haan and I honestly think you're pretty close with some minor adds.

I would prefer Hamonic's physical defensive style over De Haan. We have Brodie, Wideman, Gio for offense I would like to add a physical top4 player to even out the top 4.

I agree totally, maybe we need to add a small piece but that would make much more sense. While we don't really need another winger, Nino is to good a prospect to pass up on if he was available. He would help us now and in the future.

Add in Hamonic or De Haan and I'm good to make a deal.

Yes. Except hamonic is damn near untouchable.

Yes I agree I would do Jbo+ for Hamonic, I don't think we should target Nino or De Haan.

No thank you, Nino hasn't developed properly and he is a winger.

Though, would there be any interest on acquiring Frans Nielsen?

Not one for one for Bouw. I like Frans Nielsen, mostly because it's badass seeing a Dane ripping it up at the NHL and in addition, he's a great player (how he manages to keep a decent +/- year after year is incredible).

If Frans comes our way, I'd hope for one of the young guns on the Isle coming our way back. Because we get the short end Bouw for Frans

Is Bouw + Stajan for Frans + Hamonic a ripoff for the Isles? Because I'd do that from our perspective.

Frans>>Stajan
Hamonic>Bouw

Taking into consideration into quality of play and value of the contract. It would be amazing to get a guy like Frans. Suited for #3 but has shown to be able to provide consistent 2 way play and amazing shootout guy.

Hamonic was one of the better D-men for the Isles so it wouldn't make much sense from their end to take Bouwmeester in that swap.

Yeah 100% ripoff.
Something like bouw + backlund + first would get you that package... But that's a no go imo.
As I said before de haan is more likely of a target. Hamonic is going to be a stud.

Yea I agree that is a ripoff and I also wouldn't do your suggested package. The Islanders don't make good trading partners we should be focusing on teams like Philly, Detorit, Edmonton, Nashville. All these teams have young moveable pieces at center or atleast a top 4 defenseman coming back.

Neither would I, I'm just saying what the price would probably be. Edmonton negative, I don't think there's anything tradable there.
I think the isle is fine to trade with, just have to really get what you want from them. They have young talent stock piled as much as the next bad team. Just two untouchable players in jt and hamonic.

The problem with the isles is the only realistic thing we could get is De Haan or Kabanov and I am not big on either. They just don't have the pieces imo that we need.

How about Backlund + Jbo for Nielsen + Kabonov/De Haan + low pick?

I know we re-signed Backlund, but if he is really on the tradeblock, I could see him moved.

The re-signing of Backlund is not relevant to whether he will be traded or not.

He was a RFA, his signing was simply a normal course event.

Hamonic and Tavares are basically our franchise and the only ones that give 100%. Boumeester would be a nice addition for us but with that salary I doubt many teams are willing to give up Hamonic type players. The kid has heart and is that guy you never trade.

Nielsen is not the answer to our center problems he is a #2 centerman and is already 28 would rather go with Bailey and we have no need for Kabonov, and personally I don't want De Haan I don't like his defensive game he seems lost in his own end.

Lol, current odds for Calgary to take the cup 55-1. Worse than any other Canadian team. How does that even happen when four of the other teams weren't anywhere near a playoff spot lol?

Time to make a splash feaster, get Calgary back on the radar.

Second worst odds for a team 5 points out of a playoff spot? That might be the biggest payoff ever for a logical person.

They probably have us confused with that other Alberta team. Only way it makes sense.
