Why is LB such a weak position universally? Are there simply not enough left footed kids that end of playing LB?
Right, so technically only about 10% of people are left handed.
A lot of good left wingers int he world are right footed, like Ronaldo, Neymar, ect. Its like in hockey where it's harder sometimes to control, but gives you a better angle to cut in and shoot.
For left backs, they don't get much of a chance to shoot. Therefore they go more for true left footed players, harder to find, less of a pool to choose from. They want a nice, dependable left footed cross from the overlapping run. There are right footers who play left back, but usually only in a pinch (Phillip Lahm) because the crossing is of a lower quality.
Both of those are in N champ IRC. How does N power champ compare to MLS?
I try to be as objective as possible, but of course I will have a bias as an MLS fan.
I think, on average, they are about the same. The average npower wage is about 250k a year, which is about what the good starters in MLS make. A bit more. But, the U.S. has all of its high quality designated players that would be too high quality for npower, like Donovan, Keane, Henry, Cahill, Di Vaio, ect. So MLS has weaker benches (MLS teams spend no money on depth players due to the cap, a lot of guys making league 2 wages), but higher top end players than the championship. I'd place the leagues about even.
Cosmos travel to London and play Leyton Orient. Leyton won 2-1 in the preseason friendly. Reports say the score was closer than the game really was. I'll concur with this statement, there's no way the NASL is on par with League 1. With that being said this is the Cosmos' first season and they'll get really good, really fast. Already ordered my throwback Chinaglia shirt. It looks great! I only wished the modern kits looked as good. Why fix what isn't broken?
before we institute it. That's still a decade away at the soonest. And you'll have to convince all the owners who ponied up big time to get into MLS that they can now be relegated.
I would love promotion relegation. Would make late year games meaningful for a lot of teams. We also need to get rid of league-owned contracts, and the allocation process for returning internationals, and "discovery" claims. A lot of bad rules in this league.
