stick handling question

forgive me if this was already posted i couldnt find it.
is it better ot practice soft hands(ie stickhandling with a golf ball with it making NO noice) or doing soft-ish with max speed. or a combo of both?
answers appreciated.

A combo of both as they will be usefull in game situations, plus it keeps you from getting bored.
