I think he ends up going top-5. Habs or Leafs would be my guess.

Agree. As long as he's still on board I don't see any team trading their 1st cheap. Anisimov won't be enough.

Nah Jonathan, I think we have started to sell Anisimov and Dubinsky short here.

I like Grigerenko and think he is the best case scenario going into this draft. But it's a weak draft and he is no sure thing. He could fall short to make it on talent alone, while he also could become a good top 2 line center (his skating IS holding him back for sure).

He is also a CSKA kid, and that org is new rich and will always be an option for him.

Remember that Anisimov was our 1st line center two years ago. He is a young big center who plays the game both ways. Since we are not able to open games up, nobody scores much for us. But Anisimov is a serviceable 2nd line center for many teams in this league (or many, at least 10+).

Giving a player like him away make little sense. I'd move expendable parts to get Grigs. But I definitely leave the core be.

First draft in years I will miss.

I'm in Mallorca off the coast of Spain. Maybe I will drunkenly follow it at 6am when I get home from the clubs here.

The questions about his personality may be unfounded, but the concerns about his work ethic are very real. He's known for taking shifts off and disappearing in big games. Yes, he reportedly had Mono at the end of the season and in the playoffs, but it's not as if that was the lone period of time people were questioning his work ethic on the ice.
