He throws some good hits and isn't afraid to get his nose dirty, his hits can be hard too...

His work ethic has improved a lot this year IMO, in regards to back-checking.

True... but it sometimes also leads to getting himself in trouble. He's taken more than few bonehead "checking from behind" penalties the last 2 seasons.

SJ certainly are homers with their 3 stars selection.

Huberdeau with 1st star? The guy had 1 assist in a losing cause and went bat ***** crazy at the end of the game.

Now that I think about it... that was probably his last home game as a Sea Dog.

That was the point, and why he got 1st star.

To Halifax :

1st round Euro 2013
Jean-Philippe Provencher

To Shawinigan :

2nd round 2013 (from Baie-Comeau)
1rst round 2014
Kyle Kavanagh

With this trade, Halifax will talk 3rd and 6th at the next Import Draft.

Mooseheads acquire Shawinigan's euro first-round pick for a 2013 2nd and 2014 1st. Hfx also owns Sherbrooke's euro pick. Not bad.

Great trade!

With Frk and KA not returning next year, they can draft 2 impact players to replace them.

For anyone wondering who the kid coming back is, here he is and here's what WildcatMapleLeafs28 had to say about him a few months ago.

I'd love to see them bring in two Europeans if they are top five picks. That would be incredible to keep the momentum going since we are likely to lose MacKinnon, Frk,and Albethauser.

The picks will help them accelerate the rebuild...

How good is this Kyle Kavanagh ?

3rd and 6th... Halifax will be able to contend next year aswell !

So we're basically giving up a second round pick this year, and a first round pick next year in order to move up in the import draft and acquire a soon to be 18 year old who has yet to play in the Q.

Impossible to tell how the trade will work out obviously, I'll say I'm very cautiously optimistic. Provencher's size is intriguing, but the Moose better have a sure fire star guaranteed to report with that import pick.

We just used our 2012 first rounder on a guy who might never play for us, and now we're moving two more high picks over two years, so that naturally has me a little nervous about this trade. I hate the thought of us going back to never having any young talent once this current group is gone.

Bobby Smith has a plan, I'm sure of it... You can bet they have the Euros lined up, and that they're in regular contact with Eichel.
