A kid from less than 20 miles away from Boston College, the best college program in the US. It would be shocking if he turned down the opportunity.
Here is an article on him and Hart formt he New England Hockey Journal
http://www.hockeyjournal.com/news/pr...ceful_presence
He is expected to be picked in the first 3 rounds of the draft, maybe even the top 50 picks.
I guess if the NHL team that picked him desperately wanted him in Juniors and pushed him really hard it might happen, but I would be shocked

sounds like the sort of guy the Pens will target if he's available with our 2nd rounder.

Hockey's Future did an interview with him at the Combine. See the video here:

Could definitely see that being the case; be intriguing complementary forward for them.

Any updates on Calnan? He's been an intriguing prospect to me. Big, speedy guy who has a bit of a mean streak. What's he been up to this year? What do Hawks fans hope for him?

He's playing in the EJHL this year, his last year of high school. He decided to stay home rather than take his talents to Waterloo in the USHL.
His stat line reads well
22GP, 18G, 14A, 32P
which is good for 4th in league scoring. But I don't know where to look on the internet for scouting reports from the EJHL.
Basically, I'm not going to worry much about Calnan until next year when he joins the BC Eagles.

Interesting that he'd stick in high school, not a lot of players do that and go on to have successful careers. Then again, I suppose it worked out for his uncle.

Charlie Coyle and Jimmy Vesey played for the same team as Calnan and they aren't doing too bad right now.

Waterloo is scary talented right now...cant imagine how good they would be with him. I wonder if ice yime was the issue there. Camarrata, Stepan, Hinostroza, Kloos, etc
He would have been battling for top 6 time. My guess is he would have been 2nd line.
