I dunno, I wouldn't say Franklin's chin is suspect at all really. I can see Wandy dropping him at some point and potentially pouncing on him for a TKO but if anyone is going to get KO'ed I'd put more money on it being Wanderlei.

Wanderlei getting KO'd is always a reasonable bet and all things being equal its more likely to happen. Franklin has been KO'd viciously himself a few times though, and Wanderlei rocked him the last time they fought.

I don't know, I'm probably just trying to justify that Silva has chance because I would love to see him win in Brazil.

Changed my pick from Franklin to Wanderlei. I think he gets the knockout.

Yea don't get me wrong, I think Wanderlei has a good chance of winning. I just think that if it's not a 5 round slug fest or later round TKO/KO, that I would bet it would be Wanderlei on the losing end, ala Chuck vs Franklin or Wanderlei vs Leben. Just my thoughts.

Catchweight bout (190 lb): Wanderlei Silva vs Rich Franklin
Middleweight bout: Sergio Moraes vs Cezar Ferreira
Featherweight bout: Godofredo Pepey vs Rony Mariano Bezerra
Heavyweight bout: Fabricio Werdum vs Mike Russow
Featherweight bout: Yuri Alcantaravs Hacran Dias

Crappy card. Still deciding whether I should fork out $$$ to watch it.

Full refunds were offered after some of the changes were made.

But yeah - possibly the most pointless major UFC event ever.

Russow was severely over matched. Werdum/Overeem II winner to fight the winner of JDS/Cain II winner please.

Would Werdum really want 6 months off? I mean it's not terrible but I know some fighters really like to stay busy.

If it's a #1 contenders fight, maybe. Who else can he fight right now?

For an arena, this place is massive.

This is a pretty terrible fight. So much for the hyped potential these guys had going for them.

Werdum's striking is light years more fluid and crisp.

No need for Werdum to wait that long for a #1 contenders fight. Have him fight Hunt or someone in the fall.

Not much real potential in either.

Ferreira striking is his strength and he so obviously telegraphs a lot of his strikes. Look low and kick high is all well and good but he couldn't be any more obvious on that kick. No setup in it what so ever.
