oh please god no Brodin-Spurge pairing. That's no way to introduce a guy to the NHL. Think of the poor goalie!

Here's an obscenely optimistic take:

Heater - Parise - Lats
Seto - Koivu - Granlund
Cullen - Brodziak - Clutter
Veilleux - Powe - Kassian

Suter - Gilbert
Brodin - Scandella
Spurgeon - Stoner
Prosser

Backs
Harding

Absolutely love it how you left Avder out completely.

Also, checking/goon line LW? I'm OK with this.

That being said, this is how I'd do it:

Bouchard-Cullen-Setoguchi brought the best out of all 3 players last season, if PMB is healthy I would think Yeo would try that first, though if he's not then we're in trouble because nobody can replace his skill-set on that line. That would then put Granlund with Koivu and Heatley on the top-line, a place where he would get space to make plays. Latendresse would then have to play with Brodziak on the 3rd line, and with those 2 I'd consider Nick Johnson a better fit than Clutterbuck, though one of the prospects could also work(Coyle in particular). That leaves Powe-Clutterbuck on the 4th line, and Powe's better suited to play the wing so it would open the door for a center, perhaps Cody Almond whose back injury severely hindered him last season.

On defense it appears we're going to have to sign someone to add to our top-4 with Scandella, Gilbert, and Spurgeon. Can't rely on Jonas Brodin to be there and if he is then he can push Spurgeon down. Slim pickings out there but something has to be done, whether its trade or free agency.

So excluding trades/free agents:
Granlund - Koivu - Heatley
Bouchard - Cullen - Setoguchi
Latendresse - Brodziak - Johnson/Coyle
Powe - Almond - Clutterbuck
Kassian (Johnson)

Stoner/FA - Gilbert
Scandella - Spurgeon
Falk/Stoner - Prosser/Brodin
Kampfer(AHL if no spot) (Prosser/Falk)

How dare you put me as an NHL 4th liner/bench player. I'm at least a minor league depth player.

You scored on your own net in EASHL. You're definitely our 13th forward.

Usually it's the mods who complain and clean up derailed threads.

In Wild board, well, it's the mods who derail the threads.

all off-season topics should be allowed to go a little off the tracks IMO. we're all just twiddling our thumbs.

Okay, I've got to ask this: Are you serious with the Zeitgeist stuff, or is it just a troll avatar/name combination?
